In a monumental move that’s bound to shake up the league, the Nordic Storm have secured the signings of Jadrian Clark, the MVP of this year’s Championship Game, and Glen Toonga, the dominant MVP of the 2024 season! Both Clark and Toonga are two-time champions, having led the Rhein Fire to back-to-back Championship victories in 2023 and 2024, and they’re now set to bring that winning spirit to Copenhagen. It’s a big day for our newest franchise!

Clark, a powerhouse on the field, and Toonga, with his unmatched speed and strength, are more than just star players – they’re leaders who know what it takes to build a winning culture. From back-to-back championships to the bold challenge of leading a new team to the top, this marks an exciting new chapter for both Clark, Toonga, and the Nordic Storm.

As Glen Toonga put it best:

“Winning twice is great. But building a championship team in its first year, no words for that.”

Jadrian Clark echoed the excitement, saying:

“I’m really grateful for my time with Rhein Fire. The memories, the championships, and the friendships I made will always mean a lot to me. My main goals in the ELF have always been to win titles and help grow the sport across Europe. The opportunity to join the Nordic Storm and play football in such an incredible and fierce region is a dream come true. This is just the start, and we’re committed to creating something huge for Storm fans.”

Here’s what the Storm’s new Head Coach, John Shoop, had to say:

“On all good teams, the best players are the hardest workers. […] It has been my privilege to work alongside these men in the past, and the Nordic Storm is excited to have their leadership, spirit, and production for the 2025 season.”

He continued:

“Jadrian is extremely bright and capable of handling complex game plans. […] Importantly, he’s a great teammate who holds himself and others accountable. I am a better coach because of the time I’ve spent with him, and I look forward to working together again in 2025.”

“Glen Toonga’s production is a direct by-product of his work ethic on and off the field. […] I have had the privilege of knowing him since 2022, and his hunger to improve every year is inspiring. I look forward […] to helping him become the most complete player he’s capable of being as we lead the Nordic Storm into their inaugural season.”

With such high praise, it’s clear Shoop has high expectations as these seasoned players bring their championship mindset to the Storm in 2025!
