After Week 9 of the 2024 regular season in the European League of Football, we witness a remarkable achievement- the Vienna Vikings stand as one two teams still undefeated along with the Stuttgart Surge. This feat not only sets them apart but also makes them the first ELF team to win their conference, securing the title of Easter Conference champions and a spot in the playoffs. As the season progresses, several other teams are also making their mark, and the playoff picture is slowly coming into focus. But it’s the Vikings’ undefeated status that truly impresses and leaves us in awe.

Along with the Viking’s dominance in the ELF so far, the Rhein Fire are also in a position to earn their playoff spot over the next few weeks as they attempt to defend their league championship. The Stuttgart Surge, Paris Musketeers, Madrid Bravos, and the Tirol Raiders would all make the playoffs if the season ended. The Munich Ravens are a team that would be on the outside looking again concerning the playoffs, but they have five more weeks to put themselves in position for post-season opportunities.

When looking at the ELF standings, the Western Conference is the top group of teams in the league, and three teams could make a run for a championship. In the Central Division, the Stuttgart Surge and Raiders Tirol have separated themselves from the rest of the pack within the conference. Over the next few weeks, the playoff picture should become more apparent as teams fight to prove themselves worthy of a playoff berth in the ELF.

Let’s take a look at the games played in Week 9.
