Frisco Fighters Welcome New Defender
The Frisco Fighters, coached by Andre Coles, are set to fortify their defense with the new signing of Larron Cox. A Texan through and through, Cox emerged from Everman High School proving to be a formidable force on the gridiron.
High School Heroics
During his tenure at Everman, versatility was Cox’s trademark, excelling as both a tight end and defensive leader. His senior year sparkled with accolades, as he was named First-Team All-District in 2014 and led in tackles, setting the tone for his athletic journey.
Collegiate Career Snapshot
Cox’s university years saw him first at Stephan F. Austin, then transferring to the University of West Florida. In 2017, he not only took to the field in 11 games but also posted 16 tackles, and four solo stops, manifesting his relentless drive on defense.
Playing in 9 games the following season, Cox continued to grow, racking up eight tackles. Starting three of those games, he demonstrated the potential that has now caught the attention of the Frisco Fighters’ coaching staff.
