As UFL teams now even out to 50 players for their final rosters the Battlehawks opted to keep 9 Offensive Lineman going into the 2024 season, all of which have a decent amount of experience along with versatility.
Who is Staying?
The Battlehawks keep all Five 2023 starters including backup, Eric Magwood. The Battlehawks unit saw Three members earned All-XFL honors (Jaryd Jones-Smith, Steven Gonzalez, and Mike Panasiuk) all which started at least 8 games throughout the 2023 season. Rounding out the returning Six is Juwan Bushell-Beatty and Vadal Alexander both of which have started over 20 Games in their professional careers.
New Season, New Faces:
The Battlehawks keep Three new faces along with Sage Doxtater on IR to start the season. Abdul Beecham, Teton Saltes, and Dohnovan West. All Three healthy players have starting experience with Saltes, and Beecham both starting games in the USFL during the 2022 season. West spent 2023 with the Vipers and started Seven Games as a 21 year-old rookie.
Closing Thoughts:
With the returning starting Five from 2023, St. Louis looks to be in a comfortable position for the 2024 season at one of Spring Football’s most view positions. With plenty of experience coupled with the improvement at Center from Mike Panasiuk, the Battlehawks “big men” could easily challenge Birmingham or Arlington as one of the UFL’s premiere units. St. Louis takes on Michigan March 30th at Ford Field in their effort to make the playoffs for the first time in their franchise history.
