Playoff Format and Background
The Michigan Panthers qualified for the USFL Conference Championship despite having a better record than Birmingham. However, the game was held in Birmingham due to a scheduling conflict at Ford Field in Detroit. Ford Field will be hosting a Kendrick Lamar concert that weekend.
St Louis finished the season with a better record than the DC Defenders however even if the DC won the conference. Audi field is already booked for the June 8th date with DC United playing.
The postseason field was set after the end of week 8 of the regular season, due to all four seeds clinching their bids by then and schedule conflicts preventing two of those four teams from hosting playoff games.
Television Coverage
All games stream on ESPN+, Fubo or Fox Sports app unless otherwise noted. The playoff games will be broadcast across major networks, with ABC carrying the championship game. United Football League contests will once again be televised by ESPN, ABC, and FOX.
Championship Game Venue
The 2025 UFL Championship Game on June 14, which will be held at the Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis marks the culmination of the league’s second season. The Birmingham Stallions enter as defending champions after winning the inaugural UFL title in 2024.
The playoff structure maintains the conference format established during the merger of the XFL and USFL, with each conference sending its top two teams to compete for a spot in the championship game.
