
The Stallions 2025 season may of fell short of expectations, but the offseason continues to see success for spring football’s top tier franchise. The Stallions roster has already undergone several transactions as the team has seen Four players earn NFL opportunities already. While the signings shouldn’t surprise what may raise eyebrows is that Birmingham has surpass 40 NFL signings with no sign of slowing down.
2022 Class:
Doug Costin, Victor Bolden, Osirus Mitchell, Sage Surratt, Tae Hayes, DeMarquis Gates, Cameron Hunt, Brian Allen.
2022 saw 8 Stallions earn NFL contracts with Four of them earning paychecks from NFL teams. The Stallions players earned 1,064,999 during the 2022 season with Hayes and Gates both appearing in NFL games.
2023 Class:
Brandon Aubrey, Alex McGough, Austin Watkins, Davion Davis, Jace Sternberger, Deon Cain, Lorenzo Burns, Cole Schnieder, Khalil Davis, Colby Wadman, Matt Kaskey, Nate Brooks, CJ Marable, Matt Hankins, Cohl Cabral.
Out of the 42 USFL players signed, the Stallions saw 15 of their players earn phone calls from NFL teams in addition to Tae Hayes, and DeMarquis Gates remaining on NFL rosters for the 2023 season. The 2023 Stallions class saw the emergence of Brandon Aubrey who earned a Pro-Bowl nod in 2023 along with McGough, Watkins, Davis, Hankins, Davis, and Burns all earning paychecks from NFL teams. Birmingham saw Hayes, Gates, Aubrey, and Davis appear in NFL games as well. Collectively the 2023 class earned $3,174,828 per spotrac.

2024 Class:
Dondrea Tillman, Ricky Person Jr., Kevin Austin Jr., Adrian Martinez, Zack Johnson, Jordan Thomas, AJ Thomas, Matt Kaskey, Alex Taylor, Carlos Davis, Jonathan Garvin, Deon Cain, Matt Corral, Kyahva Tezino
14 Stallions signed in the 2024 UFL class fresh of Birmingham’s 3rd championship. The Stallions did see the release of DeMarquis Gates and Tae Hayes from the 2022 class effectively closing that chapter. The 2023 class remained strong in 2024 with Aubrey earning another Pro-Bowl, McGough spending time on the Practice Squad of the Packers, Khalil Davis appearing in several NFL games for the 2nd consecutive season, and Matt Hankins spending time on an NFL practice squad.
2024 saw even more success for Birmingham with Dondrea Tillman recording 5.0 sacks with the Broncos, Kevin Austin Jr. earning playing time with the Saints, along with Jonathan Garvin, Deon Cain, Adrian Martinez, AJ Thomas, and Zack Johnson all earning paychecks from NFL teams. Collectively Stallions players in 2024 earned $4,578,345 per spotrac.
Moving Forward:
Currently the Stallions have Brandon Aubrey, Adrian Martinez, Jonathan Garvin, Zack Johnson, Kevin Austin Jr, and Dondrea Tillman all remain on NFL rosters going into 2025 and collectively the Stallions classes have earned $8,818,172 per spotrac.
With Aubrey, Tillman, and Austin all having exception 2024 seasons in addition to the strong season by many Stallions players on the 2025 roster Stallions alums could surpass 15 million dollars collectively since 2022. While this may raise eyebrows for some, fans of Birmingham and the UFL should not be surprised by the work done by Former GM Zach Potter, and Head Coach Skip Holtz. With Potter now the GM at Sacramento State this will be the final his final class of players as Birmingham has hired Paul Roell to work with Holtz as the new General Manager.
While UFL signings are expected to slow down for now with the NFL organizations going on “vacation” till about mid-July, the Stallions have players like Bradley Anae, Ronnie Perkins, Tae Crowder, Steven Gilmore, and Tre Norwood all in the pipeline ready for an NFL opportunity.
