The high hopes of a return to the NFL for Jacob Saylors has come to end. After appearing in 8 snaps (All on Special Teams), the Giants opted to release the former Battlehawks Running Back after their first preseason game.

Saylors was a last minute signing by the Battlehawks on February 5th, after being released by the Falcons from their practice squad. After awaiting an opportunity with St. Louis, Saylors would become the Battlehawks featured back totaling 613 All-Purpose Yards and 8 TDs. Saylors would earn All-UFL honors enroute to his contract with the Giants.

Saylors becomes the 1st Battlehawk to be released from an NFL team so far during the UFL to NFL signing cycle. Currently the Battlehawks still roster Mataeo Durant, Kevon Latulas, and Wayne Gallman for the 2025 season with Latulas recently signing his LOI. If Saylors opts to return to the UFL the Battlehawks will retain his rights.
