The Arlington Renegades return to Choctaw Stadium for another exciting UFL season. After a challenging 2024 campaign that saw the team finish 3-7, the Renegades look to turn the corner under the same head coach since 2019 Bob Stoops. Known for their grit and close finishes, Arlington ended last season on a high note, winning three of their final four games. With a revamped roster and key offseason additions, the Renegades aim to reclaim their championship form from 2023.
Starting with Luis Perez one of the best and most seasoned UFL quarterbacks coming back should bode well for the chances of success for this Arlington Renegades team.
In the 2025 season, the Renegades will face their UFL Conference opponents twice and the USFL Conference teams once. The top two teams from each conference will advance to the playoffs, culminating in the UFL Championship.
Arlington Renegades Schedule Analysis:
Week 1: vs. San Antonio Brahmas
Saturday, March 29, 4:00 PM ET, FOX
The Renegades open their 2025 season at home against the San Antonio Brahmas. The Brahmas finished 7-3 last season, making a deep playoff run before falling to the Birmingham Stallions in the UFL Championship. Under Wade Phillips, the Brahmas established a top-ranked defense in the UFL, and with Donald De La Haye back in action as their reliable kicker, Arlington faces a revamped Brahmas squad led by dynamic dual-threat quarterback Kellen Mond, whose impressive collegiate stats promise a challenging season opener.
Week 2: vs. Houston Roughnecks
Sunday, April 6, 12:00 PM ET, ESPN
Theme: Rivalry Renewed – The Texas Showdown
Arlington hosts the Houston Roughnecks in a battle of Texas rivals. Houston is coming off a tough 1-9 season and but has made significant roster changes (under new General Manager Will Lewis), including a potential starting quarterback in Nolan Henderson. The Renegades swept the Roughnecks last year and will look to continue their dominance in this rivalry.
Week 3: at Birmingham Stallions
Friday, April 11, 8:00 PM ET, FOX
The Renegades face the back-to-back-to-back UFL Champion Birmingham Stallions in their first road test of the season. Birmingham is led by returning quarterback Matt Corral and remains a dominant force. Arlington will need a complete team effort to pull off an upset against a team that went undefeated at home in 2024 despite them losing their General Manager Zach Potter to Sacramento State.
Week 4: vs. St. Louis Battlehawks
Saturday, April 19, 12:00 PM ET, ABC
St. Louis visits Choctaw Stadium in a critical early-season matchup. The Battlehawks, who finished 6-4 last season, are adjusting to life without AJ McCarron. Arlington’s defense will look to disrupt Max Duggan, the likely new starter for St. Louis and a former 7th round draft pick of the 2023 NFL Draft. Let us hope to see some more trick plays like this…
Week 5: vs. D.C. Defenders
Sunday, April 27, 12:00 PM ET, ESPN
The Renegades take on the D.C. Defenders, who struggled last season with a 4-6 record after reaching the XFL Championship in 2023. Arlington aims to capitalize on D.C.’s uncertain quarterback situation as they seek their first win against the Defenders in franchise history.
Week 6: vs. St. Louis Battlehawks
Friday, May 2, 8:00 PM ET, FOX
Arlington wraps up its regular-season series with the Battlehawks. With questions still surrounding Michigan’s quarterback situation, Arlington’s defense could capitalize on turnovers. This game represents a critical opportunity to build momentum heading into the final stretch of the season. With playoff implications likely on the line, this Friday night clash could be pivotal for both teams.
Week 7: vs. Michigan Panthers
Saturday, May 10, 1:00 PM ET, FOX
The Renegades will face the Michigan Panthers in what could be a pivotal matchup for both teams as the playoff race heats up. Last season, the Panthers narrowly defeated the Renegades 28-27 in a dramatic finish sealed by a game-winning field goal. With Arlington’s revamped roster and a home-field advantage, they’ll look to avenge last season’s loss and continue their late-season push.
Week 8: vs. D.C. Defenders
Sunday, May 18, 12:00 PM ET, ABC
The Renegades head to the Alamodome for the second leg of their rivalry with the Brahmas. With potential playoff implications on the line, Arlington’s offense must deliver against what appears to be one of the league’s most formidable defenses. This late-season clash will test the team’s resilience. Let us hope for some more undisciplined play from the D.C. Defenders.
Week 9: vs. Memphis Showboats
Saturday, May 24, 12:00 PM ET, ABC
The Renegades welcome the Memphis Showboats to Choctaw Stadium. Memphis is looking to rebound from a 2-8 campaign and will feature a new head coach and roster. Arlington must avoid underestimating this revamped squad.
Week 10: at San Antonio Brahmas
Sunday, June 1, 12:00 PM ET, ABC
The Renegades close out the regular season with a trip to San Antonio. With potential playoff spots on the line, Arlington will look to end the season on a high note against their in-state rivals.
