While the Battlehawks have not seen the same volume of signings to the NFL as they have last year, they have begun building their roster for the 2025 season. Several days after confirming the return of Kemari Everett, Dravon Askew Henry, and Teton Saltes the Battlehawks confirmed the return of Five more players for the 2025 season as the NFL preseason begins.
Kevon Latulas Running Back:
The Battlehawks return reserve Running Back and Special Teams standout Kevon Latulas who hopes to have a bigger role in 2025. Latulas was a 2023 Draft Pick by the Battlehawks in 2023 XFL Rookie Draft who was released prior to the season. After a season ending injury to Mataeo Durant Latulas was resigned appearing in One Regular Season game, and the Conference Championship registering Three tackles in both contests. Latulas also has ties to the state of Missouri playing college football at Missouri State and training younger kids at St. Louis’ Elite Football Academy.
Jerome Kapp Wide Receiver:
Kapp made waves on social media for his Marshall Mathers impression and his play as a special teams ace for the Battlehawks. After being released by the New York Jets Kapp was one of the UFL’s most elite special teams players recording 8 tackles and a fumble recovery. Kapp will look to make more of an impact on offense in 2025 in his hopes of returning to the NFL.
Abdul Beecham Offensive Linemen:
Beecham returns to the UFL for his 5th season in spring football. A veteran of the TSL Blues, Pittsburgh Maulers, and Orlando Guardians, Beecham served as a reserve Offensive Lineman who was one of PFF’s highest graded lineman when in the starting lineup. Beecham give es the Battlehawks some depth at Offensive Line a group for St. Louis that continues to age.
Nico Bolden Defensive Back:
Bolden was a Battlehawks 2023 Draft Pick who returns for 2025 season his 2nd in professional football. Bolden was originally released after training camp only to return due to injuries in the secondary. The Battlehawks draft pick was utilized on special teams making his way into the defensive backfield rotation. He recorded 11 tackles during the regular season for St. Louis in 2024.
Jelani Baker Wide Receiver:
Baker was a 7th round draft pick by St. Louis during the 2024 rookie draft. After transferring from West Georgia, Baker would be a force at Limestone (D-II) recording 78 receptions for 1681 yards and 19 TDs during his final two years in college. Baker would spend less than a week with the Ravens before being waived after rookie mini-camp. He is the first/only draft pick for the Battlehawks to sign with the team so far.

Several Battlehawks have continued to receive NFL interest as the NFL preseason continues. Mike Panasuik (IND), Kemari Averett (NYJ), Nico Bolden (DEN), Alex Matheson (NE), and Andre Szymt (GB) have all continued to receive interest from NFL teams. Former Battlehawks Nate Meadors was waived from IR with an injury settlement. Meadors opted to resign a futures deal with the Steelers after signing an LOI with the Battlehawks late in 2023.
Final Thoughts:
St. Louis has had Five players sign NFL contracts and has confirmed the return of Eight players for the 2025 season. Last season St. Louis saw 16 players sign NFL contracts with Brian Hill, LaCale London, Lukas Denis, and Nate Meadors not returning for the 2024 season. As the 2024 UFL off-season is in full swing and the Battlehawks hosting one of the UFL’s oldest rosters look for St. Louis to revamp their team with some new faces as 2025 begins.
