The Battlehawks 2025 team continues to come together. In the third round of weekly signings for UFL teams, St. Louis added Six more to their roster for 2025.
Eric Magwood Offensive Tackle:
Magwood returns for his 3rd season with the Battlehawks and professional outdoor football. Magwood has started several games over the past two seasons while also appearing as a reserve offensive lineman. Magwood should fight for more playing time in 2025 especially with the Battlehawks looking for more youth next season.
Sterling Hofrichter Punter:
Hofrichter returns to the Battlehawks for his 6th season of professional football and his 3rd with St. Louis. The Syracuse product has been a consistent figure in St. Louis since 2023 and should continue his run with Becht’s special teams unit for the foreseeable future.
Alex Matheson Long Snapper:
Matheson had recently received some NFL interest before signing his LOI with St. Louis. The Battlehawks Long Snapper returns for his 3rd season with the team, even spending some time with the L.A. Rams in 2023 on their practice squad.
Qwynnterrio Cole Defensive Back:
Cole returns to the Battlehawks after his 2nd season in spring football. Originally, drafted by the Seattle Sea Dragons, in 2023 before joining the Battlehawks during the UFL’s dispersal draft. Cole should continue to support the Battlehawks secondary in 2025 adding on to his solid 2024 season.
Steven Gonzalez Offensive Guard:
Gonzalez was an All-XFL Guard in 2023, and continued to build on his career with a solid 2024 season. Gonzalez has been a stalwart on the Battlehawks Offensive Line starting all 20 games for St. Louis over the past two seasons.
T.J. Pesefea Defensive Line:
Pesefea was a late signing for St. Louis right before the 2024 season. A rookie, Pesefea appeared in Nine games for St. Louis recording 9 tackles, for 3 TFLs and a sack during his first professional season with the Battlehawks.
The Battlehawks have signed 14 players so far during the 2024-25 offseason confirming their return for next year’s squad. St. Louis this season has seen Five players sign NFL contracts this offseason with so far Jacob Saylors being the only Battlehawk released. UFL players will have two more weeks to prove themselves before final cuts take place for the start of the 2024 NFL season.
