After seeing All-UFL Center Mike Panasiuk earn an NFL contract the Battlehawks are also seeing the UFL’s Special Teams Player of the Year winner also join the NFL ranks. On August 19th, _MLFootball announced Chris Garrett is signing with the Arizona Cardinals his 4th NFL team.

Garrett was a Dispersal Draft selection by the Battlehawks being released at the conclusion of training camp. After the Battlehawks released Elorm Lumor, Garrett was resigned making an immediate impact on St. Louis’ Special Teams unit. Prior to joining the Battlehawks, Garrett was a 7th round pick from Concordia-St. Paul a Division-II school, earning a spot with the Rams on their practice squad while appearing in one game for Los Angeles. Garret would also spend time with the Vikings and Seahawks, along with the Houston Gamblers of the USFL, before joining the Battlehawks. In 2024, Garrett tallied 26 tackles (14 on Special Teams), Two Blocked Punts, and a Sack enroute to his Special Teams Player of the Year honors.

Garrett becomes the 7th Battlehawk to earn an NFL contract this UFL offseason, which is a drop-off from the 16 St. Louis saw in 2023. A versatile Defensive Player, Garrett’s ability to play special teams while also providing a competent effort on the edge is crucial in his effort to make the Cardinals roster with NFL training camp dwindling down. So far, St. Louis has secured LOI’s from 14 players so far this offseason.
