
After the team announced they were terminating Jerome Kapp‘s contract coming off injured reserve, the Battlehawks made several transactions before their Week Three Matchup vs the D.C. Defenders in week 3.
Following the termination of Kapp’s contract the team announced that it was also waiving Ohio Wide Receiver Sam Wiglusz after he made his debut for the team this past week.
Upon clearing up a roster spot, the Battlehawks would bring back WR Jerome Kapp along with QB Trae Self from Stephen F. Austin with Chevan Corderio dealing with an injury. Kapp has served as the team’s special teams ace during last season and will be primed to do so again this week 3 once again as he is active.
Self comes to the Battlehawks for his first opportunity in professional football. With an injury to Corderio, Self offers a security blanket for Saint Louis and a chance to be in the professional football signing cycle. Self, played his college career at Stephen F. Austin accounting for almost 11000 yards and 89 TDs in his Four years.
The Battlehawks are primed to take on the D.C. Defenders this weekend in hopes of winning their Third consecutive game against their rivals.
