The Battlehawks are down a Defensive Back during the final stretch of the 2024 season. On Wednesday Night UFL PR announced that the Battlehawks were placing 2nd-year spring league vet Brandon Sebastian on Injured Reserve after surgery on his hand.

After a stint with the Chargers Sebastion was drafted by the Battlehawks upon being released by Los Angeles. The former Boston College alum started all 10 games for the Battlehawks last season registering 25 Tackles and 3 interceptions for St. Louis in his first season as a pro. In 2024 Sebastian was once again in the starting lineup registering 14 Tackles and 1 interception this season. Sebastian left Week 7’s game vs the Stallions, and is now “done” for the season.

With Sebastian on the IR, it appears that St. Louis may bring in another Defensive Back for the final Three Weeks of the season. Sebastian joins fellow safety Ben DeLuca on Injured Reserve who has spent the last Two weeks on IR. Several names that could aid the Battlehawks for the final roster spot are Channing Stribling, Montreal Braswell, and Prince Charles Iworah could return to the team, as the Battlehawks have not went outside of their roster for a new player this season. The Battlehawks are set to take on the D.C. Defenders in St. Louis this weekend in hopes of clinching their first playoff berth in franchise history.
