The Battlehawks received some good news yesterday at the cost of one of their Quarterbacks. The team announced that Drew Plitt former Cincinnati Bengal, and Arlington Renegade, was released paving the way for A.J. McCarron to return for week 9.

Coach Anthony Becht told media on zoom that McCarron would be the Battlehawks QB for week 9, as the team preps to take on the 2023 XFL champions. The Battlehawks look to continue to start Manny Wilkins who had put together a dynamic appearance in week 8 going 9-18 for 126 passing yards, with 79 rushing yards on 12 carries.

While Wilkins seems to be QB1 for week 9, all eyes will be on McCarron if he is called to action. While many may think Coach Becht maybe looking forward to week 10, the Battlehawks Head Coach made it clear that he isn’t thinking that far ahead and focused on Arlington. St. Louis is set to take on Arlington at 12pm (ET), at Choctaw Stadium this Saturday on ABC.
