After making splashes in free agency the past several weeks, the Battlehawks resigned the 1st of their NFL defectors for the upcoming season. Chris Garrett the UFL’s Special Teams Player of the Year in 2024 has signed his LOI for the 2025 season after spending training camp with the Arizona Cardinals.
The UFL Public Relations Twitter Page announced that Garrett will return to St. Louis in hopes of returning to the NFL. Garrett was a special teams standout for St. Louis after spending parts of Three seasons in the NFL earning a Super Bowl Ring with the Rams on their Practice Squad. Garrett tallied 26 tackles (14 on Special Teams), Two Blocked Punts, and a Sack enroute to his Special Teams Player of the Year honors. In addition to his contract with the Cardinals, Garrett also worked out for the Denver Broncos.
Garrett becomes the 1st Battlehawk to sign his LOI since his departure for an NFL team. This year St. Louis saw 7 players earn NFL opportunities, with 16 players earning contracts the year prior. As of right now the Battlehawks have signed 38 players to their LOI’s for 2025, as St. Louis looks to return to the playoffs this upcoming season.
