After a disappointing end to a promising season the Battlehawks off-season has started off with some good news for fans of the franchise. After several Battlehawks receiving workouts prior to the conclusion of the UFL season, All-UFL players Jaryd Jones-Smith, Willie Harvey, and Jacob Saylors have all signed with the Falcons, Cowboys, and Giants respectively.

All Three players earned post season honors in the UFL prior to their NFL signings. Jones-Smith a second year member of the Battlehawks spent in the 2023 NFL season with the Washington Commanders on their practice squad, before opting to return to St. Louis. Jones-Smith a veteran of the AAF as well, earned All-XFL honors in 2023 with St. Louis.

Willie Harvey is another Two-Year member with the Battlehawks who came to St. Louis via the XFL draft after several years with the Cleveland Browns. Harvey has been one of Spring Football’s more prolific tacklers, leading the UFL in 2024 as well as being a Top-10 Tackler in the XFL in 2023. He also earned All-UFL this past season.

Saylors was a late signing by St. Louis in lieu of Max Borghi announcing his retirement. The East Tennessee State alum has would lead the UFL in Touchdowns (8) while also leading all Running Backs in rushing yards only behind UFL MVP Adrian Martinez. Saylors spent part of the 2023 NFL season with the Bengals and Falcons prior to his All-UFL season with the Battlehawks.

Since 2020, the Battlehawks have seen 27 players (and counting) earn NFL contracts due to maximizing their opportunities with the Franchise. Last season, the Battlehawks saw 16 players earn NFL deals with A.J. McCarron, LaCale London, Marcell Ateman, Brian Hill, Alex Matheson, Lukas Denis, Jaryd Jones-Smith, and Nate Meadors all spending time on NFL Active rosters, or Practice Squads. With UFL players able to sign contracts officially now Nine UFL players have already had their contracts terminated in hopes of extending their careers in the NFL.
