The Battlehawks have been pretty busy “free agency” has begun in the UFL signing an additional two players for their 2026 squad. Per James Larsen of PFN, the Battlehawks are returning All-UFL Kicker Rodrigo Blankenship, and 3rd year defensive lineman T.J. Pesefea.

Blankenship returning may be a bit of a disappointment for the Battlehawks fans, as many thought including his head coach Anthony Becht, that “Rod” wouldn’t be around too long. Despite receiving some NFL interest Blankenship remains unsigned and has opted to continue his professional career for a 6th season. Blankenship was an All-UFL selection in 2025, during his first season with St. Louis.

Pesefea returns for his 3rd season in St. Louis after spending 2023 with Bengals before being waived. Pesefea has served as a rotational defensive lineman playing both interior and in a “5” technique for Donnie Abraham’s defense the past couple of years.

The Battlehawks have signed 12 players so far this off-season with Aron Cruickshank and Pheldarius Payne both being the newcomers to the 2026 squad. The Battlehawks went 8-2 last season and look to earn a UFL championship in the new Repole led United Football League.
