It’s been a quiet off-season for the Battlehawks compared to 2023. After seeing 16 players sign NFL contracts last season, St. Louis has only seen Five players shake up their roster so far this season. That was until the UFL’s Communication Department announced that Three Battlehawks have announced their return for the 2025.
Teton Saltes, Dravon Askew-Henry, and Kemari Averrett all sign their letters of intent to return for 2025 with the hopes of bringing a championship to St. Louis. Saltes a reserve offensive lineman for the Battlehawks returns for his fourth spring football season (5th professional), after being drafted by the Michigan Panthers of the USFL in 2022. Saltes also spent time with the New York Jets as a UDFA before being released off injured reserve in October of 2021. Kemari Averett also returns to St. Louis hoping to expand his role in 2025. Averett totaled Six Receptions for 45 yards in 2024 plating with veteran Jake Sutherland in his rookie season.
Dravon Askew-Henry also opted to return for his 5th spring football season (6th professional), as he opts to stay with St. Louis for 2025. Askew-Henry has spent time with the New York Guardians (XFL 2.0), New Jersey Generals (22-23), and lastly the St. Louis Battlehawks in his spring league recording 115 tackles and 2 Ints in his spring career.
So far the Battlehawks roster sits at 53 players, since losing Five to the NFL. St. Louis has now officially signed their first three players for their 2025 roster, none of which are their UFL Draft picks. Last season the Battlehawks went 7-3 enroute to their first playoff berth, resulting in a loss to the San Antonio Brahmas.
