The Birmingham Stallions start their UFL title defense with two road games before returning to Protective Stadium. The Stallions face the DC Defenders in Washington for their season opener on March 30.

The team goes into the season without GM Zack Potter as he left the team for a college GM position.

Skip Holtz returns as head coach of the Stallions for the 2025 campaign.

“We need to pack Protective Stadium for every home game,” Holtz said. “We’ve missed our Birmingham fans and are ready to begin a new season with familiar faces and new ones.”

Schedule Breakdown:

Week 1: at DC Defenders
Sunday, March 30 | 2:00 PM CT | Washington, D.C. | Audi Field

The Stallions begin their title defense against DC. Their previous matchup ended with Birmingham securing a victory on a last-second field goal after a weather delay. This is the final game of week 1 of the 2025 UFL season.

Stallions on the road due to two events happening in Birmingham. NCAA Women’s Basketball March Madness March 28 – 31 at Legacy Arena. Monster Jam March 29th at Protective Stadium.

Week 2: at Michigan Panthers
Friday, April 4 | 7:00 PM CT | Detroit, MI | Ford Field

Birmingham faces Michigan in their second straight road game. This is a rematch of the USFL conference championship game in 2024 .The Panthers reached the USFL championship game under coach Mike Nolan. This will be the Stallions first appearance on Fox UFL Friday on one of three games on Friday night.. 

Week 3: vs. Arlington Renegades
Friday, April 11 | 7:00 PM CT | Birmingham, AL | Protective Stadium

The Stallions return to Birmingham for their home opener under the lights at Protective Stadium. Bob Stoops leads the Renegades in this matchup. This will be their second straight Friday night game.

Stallions get the Friday night game because the Birmingham Legion FC is taking on El Paso Locomotive FC on Sunday April 13th. Legion FC is part of USL (United Soccer League). They share the Protective Stadium with the Stallions.

Week 4: at Houston Roughnecks
Saturday, April 19 | 6:00 PM CT | Houston, TX | TDECU Stadium

Birmingham travels to Houston to face coach Curtis Johnson’s rebuilt Roughnecks roster. We should know by then if the team has changed or is much like last year. The worst team in the UFL.

Week 5: vs. Memphis Showboats
Friday, April 25 | 7:00 PM CT | Birmingham, AL | Protective Stadium

The Stallions host their first USFL Conference game against Memphis. NFL veteran Ken Whisenhunt takes over as head coach of the rebuilt Showboats. This is their second home game to start the first half of the UFL season.

This is their third and final Friday night game due to the USL playing on Sunday. The Birmingham Legion FC take on the Chattanooga Red Wolves SC on April 27th.

Week 6: vs. San Antonio Brahmas
Sunday, May 4 | 3:00 PM CT | Birmingham, AL | Protective Stadium

Birmingham hosts the 2024 XFL Conference champions. San Antonio added quarterback Kellen Mond to their offense for 2025. This is a rematch of the 2024 UFL Championship which the Stallions won 25-0. The Brahmas will be seeking revenge in that game.

Week 7: vs. Houston Roughnecks
Sunday, May 11 | 11:00 AM CT | Birmingham, AL | Protective Stadium
ABC

The Stallions face Houston for the second time in a morning kickoff at Protective Stadium. The Birmingham Legion FC does play near that date but on May 14th.

Week 8: at St. Louis Battlehawks
Saturday, May 17 | 12:00 PM CT | St. Louis, MO | The Dome at America’s Center

Birmingham visits St. Louis as the Battlehawks enter a new era without AJ McCarron. Could be a must watch match up of two of the best teams in the UFL.

Birmingham Legion FC play on May 18th at Protective Stadium.

Week 9: vs. Michigan Panthers
Saturday, May 24 | 2:00 PM CT | Birmingham, AL | Protective Stadium

The Panthers return to Birmingham for the teams’ second meeting of 2025. This will be their final home game of the 2025 UFL season.

Week 10: at Memphis Showboats
Sunday, June 1 | 2:00 PM CT | Memphis, TN | Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium

The Stallions conclude their regular season schedule against Memphis. The Showboats could be better than last season playing for a playoff spot or just as bad and this is a meaning less game.

If the Stallions make it to the playoffs and have a home game Protective Stadium has nothing scheduled for June 8th or anything that weekend.
