The day after the Brahmas signed YouTube star and kicker Donald De La Haye, San Antonio continues to add more talent to their 2024 roster. UFL Communications announced that the Brahmas have signed five more players to their active roster, including quarterback Tom Flacco. The Brahmas added three additional players to their offense and two additional defensive players.
Quarterback Tom Flacco, the younger brother of Super Bowl-winning and current Cleveland Browns quarterback Joe Flacco, joins the Brahmas roster after finishing his college football career at Towson University. Flacco played for the Tigers during the 2018 and 2019 seasons, where he played in 24 games and completed 484 passes on 795 attempts, resulting in 6,082 passing yards and 50 touchdowns with only 17 interceptions. He has pursued a career in professional football, and he spent time with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2021; the Houston Roughnecks had signed the Ottawa Redblacks in 2021 and 2022 in the CFL, and him in December 2023 before the merger.
Wide Receiver KD Cannon joins the Brahmas after being selected by the Brahmas during the UFL player allocation process. During the 2023 XFL season, Cannon played for the Orlando Guardians and caught four passes for 161 yards and two touchdowns. After the 2023 season, Cannon joined the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent. Cannon played college football at Baylor from 2014 until 2016, and he has spent time with the Los Angeles Rams, Dallas Cowboys, Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL, and the Seattle Sea Dragons during the 2020 XFL season.
Wide Receiver Landen Akers has re-signed with the Brahmas after playing six games for San Antonio during the 2023 XFL season. In 2023, Akers caught 31 passes for 303 yards. Akers played college football at Iowa State from 2016 until 2020 and spent time with the Los Angeles Rams in 2021 and 2022.
Defensive lineman Austin Edwards joins the Brahmas roster after spending time with the Atlanta Falcons in 2020 and the Kansas City Chiefs in 2021 and 2022. The 6’5″, 273-pound defensive end played college football at NCAA Division II Ferris State, where he played in 47 games and recorded 184 tackles and 19 quarterback sacks. During the 2023 XFL season, Edwards spent time with the Houston Roughnecks on the injured reserve list.
Ryan Mueller joins the Brahmas roster as a linebacker but has spent most of his career as an edge rusher. Mueller comes to San Antonio after playing for the Arlington Renegades and Vegas Vipers during the 2023 XFL season; he appeared in three games for the Renegades and had five tackles along with .5 sacks. Before coming to Arlington, Mueller spent time with the San Diego Chargers in 2015, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL in 2017, the New York Guardians during the 2020 XFL season, and the Las Vegas Raiders in 2023. While playing college football at Kansas State, Mueller had 166 tackles and 16.5 quarterback sacks.
