The Arlington Renegades and Birmingham Stallions made roster additions this week, strengthening their lines with experienced players ahead of the UFL’s March 28 season opener.
Arlington signed defensive end Durrell Johnson, who posted notable numbers at Liberty University from 2020-2022. Johnson’s college stats showcase his impact: 114 total tackles, 40.5 tackles for loss, 14.5 sacks, and 4 forced turnovers. The Dallas Cowboys signed Johnson as an undrafted free agent in 2022 before he was waived with an injury designation.
The Birmingham Stallions brought back offensive tackle Christian DiLauro, who returns after helping the team win the championship in 2024. DiLauro, an Illinois product, brings substantial NFL practice squad experience from eight teams – the Cleveland Browns, San Francisco 49ers, Houston Texans, Pittsburgh Steelers, Tennessee Titans, Washington Commanders, Denver Broncos, and Minnesota Vikings.
The UFL enters its second season following the merger of the XFL and USFL.
