**ARLINGTON, TX (November 3, 2026**) - It was announced today that the [Dallas Renegades](https://uflnewshub.com/ufl/san-antonio-brahmas/former-michigan-panther-josh-butler-signs-chicago-bears-practice-squad) have traded All-UFL defensive back [Kary Vincent Jr.](https://uflnewshub.com/player/kary-vincent-jr-34176) to the Louisville Kings in exchange for quarterback Emory Jones. Despite not playing for the team in 2026, Louisville held the rights to Jones after selecting him in last season’s UFL Draft.

## **QB Emory Jones joins Dallas Renegades**

Jones joins the Renegades as a highly accomplished, dynamic dual-threat playmaker with elite experience at the highest levels in football.

> “We are excited to add Emory to our roster,” said Dallas Renegades head coach Kevin Sumlin. “We made this trade with a clear purpose. Bringing him in alongside Hunter Dekkers, John Rhys Plumlee, and T.J. Finley raises the competitive bar across the board.”

Over a prolific six-year college career, Jones amassed 7,099 passing yards, 1,863 rushing yards, and accounted for 69 total touchdowns across three major programs: Florida, Arizona State, and Cincinnati. A natural leader and former team captain, he repeatedly proved his ability to electrify an offense, permanently etching his name into the record books. He holds the historic Florida Gators single-game record for total offense with a staggering 550-yard performance in 2021, and later set a Cincinnati Bearcats debut record by accounting for seven touchdowns in a single game.

The LaGrange, Georgia native seamlessly translated his high-end athleticism and sharp football IQ to the professional ranks, showcasing his versatility across both the NFL and UFL. After entering the NFL as a coveted undrafted free agent with the [Baltimore Ravens](https://uflnewshub.com/ufl/battlehawks-linebacker-michael-barrett-earns-contract-baltimore-ravens), he later served as a vital asset for the Atlanta Falcons, where coaches leaned on his mobile skillset to simulate elite dual-threat quarterbacks during the regular season. Additionally, his explosive upside made him an attractive offseason acquisition for the UFL’s DC Defenders. Resilient and battle-tested, Jones brings a unique combination of major-college accolades, professional schematic familiarity, and game-breaking athletic ability.

## **DB Kary Vincent Jr. Acquired by Louisville Kings**

After a stellar 2026 season with the Houston Gamblers, Vincent Jr. joins the Kings defensive backfield who led the league with 17 takeaways including 13 interceptions. The 5-10 defensive standout found significant success jumping to spring football leagues. During the 2026 UFL season with the Houston Gamblers, his lockdown coverage earned him a spot on the All-UFL Team.

> “We are excited about the trade,” stated Louisville Kings head coach Chris Redman. “To gain a starting caliber player like Kary before the draft is a tremendous boost to our team. I’m looking forward to training camp and seeing a big-time player like him in action.”

In 2026, Vincent appeared in nine games for the Houston Gamblers, recording 18 total tackles (15 solo) and two interceptions, ranking among the league's top five in interceptions. He showcased his playmaking ability by returning both picks for a combined 56 yards. His longest return (36 yards) came in Week 8 against the St. Louis Battlehawks, when he intercepted quarterback Luis Perez and returned it for a touchdown.

Vincent was selected by the Denver Broncos in the seventh round (237th overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft. Later that year, he was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles, where he made his active NFL debut and recorded two tackles. He also spent time on the San Francisco 49ers' practice squad in 2022.

Under then head coach Ed Orgeron of LSU, Vincent played an integral part of the undefeated 2019 team that won the CFP National Championship. In addition to football, he competed as a sprinter on LSU's track and field team, capturing multiple SEC championships in the 4x100m relay.
