
The UFL’s February 3 transaction list features several notable NFL veterans and spring league standouts. The signings include former NFL players Cameron Dantzler, who played 37 games with the Vikings and Saints, and Breeland Speaks, the 2024 UFL Defensive Player of the Year.
Arlington Renegades
Will Clarke, OLB, Arlington Renegades (West Virginia)
Clarke recorded 111 tackles, 29.5 tackles for loss, and 9.5 sacks during his college career at West Virginia. In the NFL, he played 53 games with the Bengals (2014-2016) and Buccaneers (2017-2018), logging 37 tackles and 7 sacks. He is returning to the Renegades for his third season. He played with the XFL’s BattleHawks in 2020.
Birmingham Stallions
Ronnie Perkins, DE, Birmingham Stallions (Oklahoma)
At Oklahoma, Perkins totaled 99 tackles, 32 tackles for loss, and 16.5 sacks from 2018-2020. He played for the Patriots (2021-2023), Broncos (2023-2024), and Cardinals (2024). With the Broncos, he recorded 13 tackles and 2 tackles for loss in 7 games.
Memphis Showboats
Cameron Dantzler, CB, Memphis Showboats (Mississippi State)
Dantzler compiled 108 tackles, 6 tackles for loss, and 5 interceptions in three seasons at Mississippi State. He played 37 NFL games with the Vikings (2020-2022) and Saints (2023), recording 149 tackles, 17 pass deflections, and 3 interceptions. He earned PFWA All-Rookie Team honors in 2020.
Kai Locksley, WR, Memphis Showboats (UTEP)
As UTEP’s quarterback, Locksley passed for 2,266 yards and rushed for 875 yards from 2018-2019. Out of college Locksley switch to wide receiver. He played for the Miami Dolphins in 2021. The moved on to the CFL, where he recorded 345 receiving yards, 122 rushing yards, and 8 total touchdowns with the Edmonton Elks and Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
Michigan Panthers
Breeland Speaks, DE, Michigan Panthers (Mississippi)
At Mississippi, Speaks recorded 127 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, and 9 sacks from 2015-2017. He played for the Chiefs in 2018, recording 24 tackles and 1.5 sacks in 16 games. In 2023, he led the USFL with 9 sacks and earned UFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2024 with 9.5 sacks. He went to training camp with the Jacksonville Jaguars in the NFL in 2024.
Duro Ajayi, T, Michigan Panthers (College of New Jersey)
Ajayi started at tackle for three seasons at The College of New Jersey from 2021-2023. He earned first-team All-NJAC honors in 2022 and 2023. His offensive line helped the Lions lead the NJAC in total offense and passing offense.
