Former NFL first-round pick Damon Arnette joins the Houston Roughnecks for the 2025 UFL season. The cornerback from Ohio State brings NFL experience to the Roughnecks secondary.

Arnette spent time with the Las Vegas Raiders after being selected 19th overall in the 2020 NFL Draft. His NFL career includes 13 games with seven starts, recording 29 tackles, with 23 solo tackles and three passes defended.

The Raiders released Arnette in November 2021 following social media posts showing him with firearms. In January 2022, he faced charges in Las Vegas related to an incident at Park MGM hotel and casino, though these charges were later dropped. The Kansas City Chiefs released him shortly after signing him to a futures contract due to these legal issues.

At Ohio State, Arnette appeared in 53 games from 2015-19, compiling 140 tackles (104 solo), five interceptions with one touchdown return, 27 passes defensed, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery. His 2019 senior season stats show 35 tackles, one tackle for loss, one interception, and nine passes defended.

Birmingham Adds Pass Rusher

The Stallions sign Myjai Sanders to boost their pass rush. The former Cincinnati defensive end comes to Birmingham after NFL stints with the Arizona Cardinals and Houston Texans. Sanders recorded 30 tackles, three sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and three pass deflections in the NFL.

Angeline Ends Career

Cary Angeline moves to the retired list after signing with Houston in August 2024. The tight end leaves with a USFL championship on his resume, earned with the Birmingham Stallions in 2022. During that championship season, Angeline caught 12 passes for 152 yards and scored one touchdown.

The UFL season begins March 28th, with these roster moves shaping team configurations for opening day.
