Exciting day across the NFL today as they announce their 53-man rosters. The top question on a lot of UFL fan’s minds right now is who made it from the league we all love so dearly.
Today we have an answer as Defensive end Jalen Redmond, previously with the Arlington Renegades, is one of just two former UFL players to secure a spot on their NFL team’s final roster.
Redmond was a dominant force for Arlington, playing in six games where he amassed 18 tackles, five tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks.
He continued to carry that dominant nature with the Minnesota Vikings during preseason where he record six tackles, one tackle for loss, and even a pass deflection over those two games, while grading out as the top Minnesota Viking coming out of the preseason finale.
Redmond has been a commanding presence even in college. During his time in Oklahoma, in his final season with the Sooners, amassed 10 tackles for loss, 4 sacks, and 4 passes defended.
Jake Bates, the former Michigan Panthers standout kicker known for hitting 60+ yard field goals who now plays for the Detroit Lions, joins Redmond as the only UFL players from 2024 to make it onto an NFL final roster.
