The Michigan Panthers announced via the UFL Communications Department that they signed quarterback Brian Lewerke on Wednesday. Lewerke was previously cut by the Panthers on Sunday, March 10 as the team got their roster down to 58 players.

Davis Cheek was previously expected to be the Panthers’ third-string quarterback but has recently been placed on the retirement list. Following Cheek’s retirement the Panthers have brought Lewerke back to fill that spot on the roster.
