The Michigan Panthers have resigned linebacker Frank Ginda per the UFL Communications Department on Friday. Additionally, wide receiver Trey Quinn has been transferred to the retired list with the news of his retirement.

Frank Ginda will join the Panthers for his 4th season as he has been a key player since the revival of the USFL and the Michigan Panthers in 2022. Over his first 2 seasons as a Panther, he amassed 93 solo tackles, 101 assisted tackles, 3 interceptions, and 2 sacks over 2022 and 2023. This past season saw him start in 6 games and record 20 solo tackles and 13 assisted tackles before an injury brought an early end to his 2024 campaign.

Ginda’s play has seen him be an effective tackler in all areas of the field and has drawn the attention of NFL teams. Following the 2023 season in which he was named Defensive Player of the Week 4 times as well as the Defensive Player of the Year, he was signed by the Atlanta Falcons. Pro Football Focus graded him as the 45th highest-graded linebacker in the preseason, however, he was waived in final roster cuts and later brought back to the practice squad in late November.

Ginda was with the Los Angeles Chargers this past NFL preseason as a late addition and played in the final preseason game in which he had 4 tackles before being waived during final roster cuts.

Trey Quinn played in his first season for the Michigan Panthers in 2023 which saw him play in 10 games with 8 starts and record 37 catches for 439 yards and 4 touchdowns. In the Panther’s loss, he had 5 catches for 104 yards and a touchdown. He was later signed by the Detroit Lions which saw him play in 1 preseason game and record 1 catch for 8 yards before being placed on injured reserve and waived. He was later signed to the Lions practice squad in October of 2023 but released 8 days later.

This past season saw Quinn play in every game and record 27 catches for 239 yards and a touchdown over 10 regular season games and add 3 catches for 29 yards in the playoffs.
