The United Football League Communications Department announced Thursday that the Michigan Panthers have signed defensive back Will Adams.

DB Will Adams – Virginia State (24 y/o, 5’11, 200 lbs)

Will Adams played his college football for Virginia State from 2016 to 2021. He played in 36 games contributing 102 solo tackles, 49 assisted tackles, and 5 interceptions. He was named All-CIAA in 2021.

Adams signed a multi-year deal with the Washington Commanders in 2022 but was waived in June. He also received rookie camp invites from the Atlanta Falcons and Miami Dolphins.

Adams played for the Vegas Vipers in the XFL in 2023 contributing 5 solo tackles over 5 games. Among the 52 cornerbacks graded by Pro Football Focus, Adams had the 2nd highest tackling grade among cornerbacks in the XFL in 2023. However, he graded 47th in coverage grade per PFF.
