The Michigan Panthers have waived wide receiver Jordan Suell per the UFL Communications Department on Monday. Suell joined the Panthers this past offseason through the first phase of the UFL Dispersal Draft.
Jordan Suell – Southern Oregon (26 y/o, 6’6, 205)
Jordan played in all 4 games for the Panthers and was listed as a starter on the depth chart in all 4. He was targetted 8 times and recorded 4 catches for 48 yards.
Suell’s production may have been on the lower side but at times the Panthers’ offense has struggled to find continuity. The team is 7th in the UFL in passing yards having accumulated 674 passing yards over 4 games. 183 of those 674 yards came on 3 explosive plays to receiver Marcus Simms. Outside of those 3 plays, there have been only 491 passing yards.
Suell was one of 4 receivers acquired by the Panthers this past offseason in the first phase of the UFL Dispersal Draft.
Suell played for Southern Oregon where he recorded 112 catches for 2,184 yards and 27 touchdowns over 4 seasons. In his final season, he had 42 catches for 834 yards and 12 touchdowns over 11 games in 2019.
Following college, he played in the Spring League. Suell was with the Saskatchewan Roughriders through training camp ahead of the 2021 CFL season. He played for the Philadelphia Stars in the USFL in 2022 and 2023 where he recorded 48 receptions for 500 yards and 3 touchdowns.

I noticed that Suell looked out of sorts at times the first couple of weeks. He had a big catch in the Panthers last win so I hoped that would help him get underway. I did not see this week’s Panthers game, but I imagine he showed nothing to get him the targets he needs to thrive.
