A reality for teams in the UFL is that the roster of every team in the league is in an ongoing state of flux. In some situations, players are leaving the roster to move on to more significant opportunities, like offensive lineman Julien Davenport moving onto the Falcons; others are coming to teams like the Brahmas in search of opportunities to prove themselves, like defensive back Tyler Boatwright, but as teams evaluate and build their roster, they must plan for player movement. In addition to players joining and leaving the roster, injuries become a driving factor for constantly finding and adding talent to their roster.

For the San Antonio Brahmas, the offensive line was a position group that experienced several changes during the 2024 season due to injuries to players. After the first couple weeks of the season, the Brahmas had as many offensive linemen on their injured list as they had on their active roster. Because of the physical nature of playing offensive line in the UFL, teams must have a collection of lineman to provide high-quality depth for their offensive line position. Recently, the Brahmas added another quality offensive lineman to their roster, with San Antonio signing offensive guard Kenneth Horsey, according to a tweet from UFL Insider James Larsen.

Offensive lineman Kenneth Horsey is a 6’3″, 300-pound native of Sanford, Florida. Horsey played college football at the University of Kentucky from 2018 until 2023. While playing for the Wildcats, Horsey played 43 games and started 37.

In 2020, Horsey received recognition as the 2020 Mayo Clinic Comeback Player of the Year after overcoming open heart surgery in 2018. During the 2023 season, Horsey’s season was cut short due to a knee injury. Despite the health issues, Horsey had hoped to get drafted by an NFL team during the 2024 NFL Draft, but he went undrafted. Even though Horsey did not get drafted, he did attract enough attention to receive invitations from the Washington Commanders and New York Jets to participate in Rookie Mini-Camps.
