The New Orleans Saints Signed wide receiver Samson Nacua who played for the Michigan Panthers this past season. The list of Panthers signed to NFL teams is beginning to be an extended one as there have now been 8 players signed to NFL teams who played for the Michigan Panthers this past season.

WR Samson Nacua – BYU (6’4, 195 lbs, 26 y/o)

Nacua played in 7 regular season games for the Panthers this past season and recorded 11 receptions for 124 yards. He also made an impact on special teams as he recorded 6 special teams tackles.

Nacua was briefly with the Pittsburgh Maulers in the USFL in 2023 where he appeared in 2 games although he did not record a reception prior to being released from the team.

Nacua began his collegiate career with Utah where he appeared in 44 games with 7 starts from 2017 to 2020 where he recorded 82 receptions for 1,015 yards and 11 touchdowns. He played his final season at BYU where he played in 13 games with 4 starts and caught 21 passes for 329 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Following his collegiate career he signed with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent. He played in 3 preseason games with the Colts and caught 2 passes for 30 yards and a touchdown although he was waived amid final roster cuts.

Samson Nacua is the older brother of Puka Nacua who had a breakout rookie season at receiver with the Los Angeles Rams in 2023. He was teammates with his oldest brother Kai Nacua on the Michigan Panthers who plays safety. The youngest Nacua brother, Tei Nacua, will be playing receiver at BYU this season.
