Fans of the Seattle Sea Dragons and UFL will be a bit disappointed on Thursday evening. Former Seattle Sea Dragons Quarterback Ben DiNucci told Chris Tomasson of the Denver Gazette he plans on remaining with the team for the 2024 season.
DiNucci told Tomasson “Monday morning, I’ll come back and sign a futures contract for next year, so I’m excited about that,’’ after practice at the Centura Health Training Center. DiNucci joined Denver after playing the spring of 2023 with the Seattle Sea Dragons of the XFL.
The former JMU Quarterback threw for 2,671 Yards and 20 Touchdowns enroute to his opportunity with the Broncos. While many hoped DiNucci would return to the UFL in 2024, the Broncos QB seems to be in position to compete for a spot on the 53-man roster with turmoil in Denver’s QB room.
Currently the Sea Dragons will see their players wait for the dispersal draft which begins January 5th and concludes on January 15th. Currently the Sea Dragons roster Harrison Frost, Steven Montez and N’Kosi Perry as their QBs now waiting for another UFL team to select them.
