MEMPHIS SHOWBOATS (1-5) VS ARLINGTON RENEGADES (0-6)
Saturday, May 11 | 1:00 PM ET | Arlington, TX | Choctaw Stadium | ESPN | ESPN Xtra on SiriusXM
The first game of the weekend sees two teams face off who are both very desperate for a win. The Arlington Renegades find themselves winless 6 games into the season following an XFL Championship the year before. Arlington has lost several close games in which they played well but just haven’t been able to get a win yet. The Memphis Showboats have been a sinking ship as they find themselves on a 5 game losing streak and have lost their last 4 games by 2 scores.
Writer’s Pick: 86% Arlington
ST. LOUIS BATTLEHAWKS (5-1) VS BIRMINGHAM STALLIONS (6-0)
Saturday, May 11 | 4:00 PM ET | Birmingham, AL | Protective Stadium | FOX | FOX Sports on SiriusXM
UFL Week 7 Preview: St. Louis Battlehawks (5-1) v.s. Birmingham (6-0) by Sam Just
This is a must-watch matchup. The 6-1 St. Louis Battlehawks travel to Birmingham to take on the undefeated Stallions. St. Louis quarterback A.J. McCarron played for Alabama in college which only adds to the draw of the most anticipated matchup of the season. Mccarron is the current leader in passing touchdowns with 13 and is second in passing yards with 1,305. Birmingham quarterback Adrian Martinez is red hot coming off a 368-yard performance with 4 touchdowns.
Writer’s Pick: 57% Birmingham
MICHIGAN PANTHERS (4-2) VS D.C. DEFENDERS (3-3)
Sunday, May 12 | 12:00 PM ET | Washington, D.C. | Audi Field | ESPN | ESPN Xtra on SiriusXM
Michigan Panthers (4-2) vs DC Defenders (3-3) Week 7 Preview
The Michigan Panthers hope to extend their win streak to 3 games in what has been a tough place for visiting teams to leave with a win. The Defenders have won 11 of their 12 games at Audi Field. The Defenders were able to garner some good run support as Darius Hagans and Cam’Ron Harris combined for 102 rushing yards and a touchdown over 22 rushes. DC will need strong play from their offensive line this week. The Panthers’ defense has been effective at stopping the run as well as putting pressure on the quarterback.
Writer’s Pick: 57% DC
SAN ANTONIO BRAHMAS (4-2) VS HOUSTON ROUGHNECKS (1-5)
Sunday, May 12 | 3:00 PM ET | Houston, TX | Rice Stadium | ESPN | ESPN Xtra on SiriusXM
The Houston Roughnecks find themselves in essentially a must-win scenario as they are 3 games out of a playoff position with only 4 games left in the season. The Brahmas control their own destiny but only have a 1 game lead in their current position in 2nd place in the XFL Division. Both teams have quarterbacks who will want to bounce back after having their least productive game of the season. San Antonio’s quarterback Quinten Dormady had 79 passing yards and a touchdown with 1 interception last week. Houston’s quarterback Reid Sinnett had 135 passing yards last week.
Writer’s Pick: 100% San Antonio
