After several NFL workouts the Renegades saw their seventh player earn an NFL contract this signing cycle. Lucas Havrisik continues the success of UFL specialist by signing with the Green Bay Packers who are currently dealing with an injury to their kicker Brandon McManus.
Havrisik was signed to the Packers active roster, with McManus currently questionable. While it’s unclear if McManus will play or not, the Packers took a proactive approach keeping Havrisik ready to go after his workout on Friday. Havrisik played one season with the Renegades replacing Taylor Russolino, and Jonathan Garibay who kicked for the Renegade in 2023 and 2024.

While it’s unclear if Havrisik will play he’s in a unique opportunity if given the chance. Havrisik will have the opportunity to showcase his skillset for the other 31 teams in need of a kicker down the stretch. He’ll also have the opportunity to share the special teams room with Daniel Whelan who spent 2023 with the D.C. Defenders and has been punting in Green Bay since.
The Packers have also rostered a spring football kicker before as recent as 2022. Ramiz Ahmed of the Pittsburgh Maulers (USFL) spent the 2022 season on the Packers practice squad appearing in one game. Ahmed was supposed to kick in another game due to a Mason Crosby injury however, injured himself during warmups.
The Packers are set to take on the Bengals at 4:25 (ET) at Lambeau Field during week seven. Havrisik is one of several specialists who will be active this week. Havrisik is the 61st UFL player to earn a contract this signing cycle.
