During their first season in the UFL, the San Antonio Brahmas stood out as a team that took advantage of the XFL-USFL merger that created the UFL. The Brahmas went from being a 3-7 team during the 2022 XFL season to being a 7-3 team in the XFL division in the UFL. San Antonio rode the momentum of their turnaround season to the first UFL championship game. Despite losing that championship game to the Birmingham Stallions, the Brahmas established themselves as a championship-caliber team in the UFL.
The next step for the Brahmas, GM Marc Lillibridge, and head coach Wade Phillips is to make the off-season adjustments to take the next step and win the UFL championship in 2025. The UFL College Draft is the first of many steps that San Antonio has to make roster additions to improve their roster going into the 2025 season. After being shut out in the UFL championship game, many expected the Brahmas to attempt to upgrade their playmakers on offense, but Wade Phillips has defined his coaching career with a defense-first approach, and that led to the Brahmas looking to stack more talent on their strong defense while adding critical players on offense.
Let’s look at the ten newest additions to the San Antonio Brahmas roster after being selected by the Brahmas in the 2024 UFL College Draft.
