One day after the San Antonio Brahmas re-signed cornerback Bryce Thompson, the Brahmas made another personnel move involving Thompson. The UFL has announced that the San Antonio Brahmas have made a trade with the DC Defenders in which the Defenders receive Thompson and the Brahmas receive defensive end Jalen Harris.
By acquiring defensive end Jalen Harris, the Brahmas have effectively added depth to their defensive front seven. Harris joins one of the top defensive units in the UFL, a defense that helped the Brahmas reach the first UFL championship game. Harris comes to San Antonio after spending time with several NFL teams over the last two years.
Harris is a 6’4″, 257-pound defensive end native of the State of Arizona. Collegiately, Harris played football at the University of Arizona from 2017 until 2022. While at Arizona, Harris played in 56 games and accumulated 99 solo tackles, 73 assists, and 14 quarterback sacks.
In 2023, Harris was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Chicago Bears. While in Chicago, Harris spent time on the Bears’ practice squad. During the NFL season in 2023, Harris made his way to the Washington Commanders. While playing for the Commanders, Harris played in five games and recorded five solo tackles and one assist.
