As UFL training camps are quickly approaching, the San Antonio Brahmas continue to shuffle the parts on their roster to get the best mix of talent that will allow them to earn an opportunity to earn their first UFL championship in 2025. That shuffling includes releasing two players they signed early in the off-season, soon after their championship game loss against the Birmingham Stallions. Today, the UFL released a press release indicating that the Brahmas have released offensive guard Kenneth Horsey and defensive back Kaleb Ford-Dement.

In addition to removing Horsey and Ford-Dement from their roster, the Brahmas have also moved to help maintain their impressive defensive front seven from 2024. During the 2024 season, head coach Wade Phillips and the Brahmas had one of the best defensive units in the UFL, and because of that success, several of those players attracted the attention of teams in the NFL. One of those defenders signed by an NFL team was defensive tackle Prince Emili, but in another UFL press release, the UFL announced that the Brahmas have re-signed Emili for the 2025 UFL season.

During the 2024 UFL season, Emili played nine Brahmas games and recorded eight solo tackles, 21 assisted tackles, and three quarterback sacks. Emili’s success during the UFL season allowed him to use his momentum in the spring of 2024 and capitalize on that to sign with the Atlanta Falcons in the NFL. The 6’2″, 300-pound native of New City, New York, has previous experience in the NFL. During the 2023 NFL season, Emili spent time with the New Orleans Saints, and in 2022, Emili spent time with the Buffalo Bills.

Prior to earning opportunities in the NFL and UFL, Emili made an impact while playing college football at the University of Pennsylvania in the Ivy League. Emili played for the Quakers for four seasons from 2017 until 2021. During that time, Emili played in 36 games and recorded 89 solo tackles, 72 assisted tackles, and 11.5 quarterback sacks.
