The San Antonio Brahmas are at 4-2 and fighting for a playoff spot. Last week, they came up short against the DC Defenders, keeping the Defenders right behind them in the standings. As the Brahmas look to push to the playoffs, they continue to make roster moves.

The Brahmas released outside linebacker Tarell Basham will start this week, according to a UFL press release.

Basham faced a series of challenges during his tenure with the San Antonio Brahmas, spending a significant portion of his time on the team’s suspended list. Despite these setbacks, he was given a chance to prove himself in his first game of the season against the Defenders. In that game, Basham demonstrated his resilience with two total tackles, one of which was a solo tackle, and he also managed to break one pass.

As One Leaves, Another Enters

As Basham exits the Brahmas organization, the outside linebacker position has been held. According to a UFL press release, the Brahmas have added outside linebacker Zach Morton to fill that hole.

Outside Linebacker Zach Morton joins the Brahmas after spending the 2023 NFL season with the Detroit Lions after being signed as an undrafted free agent. The 6’4, 261-pound Morton played college football at the University of Akron from 2021 until 2022; he appeared in 21 games for the Zips, recording 54 total tackles, 5.5 quarterback sacks, one interception, and forcing two fumbles. Morton attended Syracuse University before playing at Akron but only appeared in three games.
