During the 2024 UFL season, the San Antonio Brahmas exceeded expectations. The Brahmas found a way to maintain their success despite suffering a significant number of injuries that tested their depth at several different positions. One position that was hit the hardest by injuries was the Brahmas offensive line.

As the Brahmas build their training camp roster, San Antonio has worked to maintain the quality of their offensive line from 2024 by resigning players like center Sam Tecklenburg, offensive guard Chuck Filiaga, and offensive tackle Greg Eiland. Despite the collection of offensive line talent that the Brahmas have retained, plus several more additions to the offensive line group, the Brahmas know better than any UFL team that they can never have enough offensive linemen. With only a few roster spots open on the Brahmas training camp roster, San Antonio has invested one of their spots into their offensive line, signing offensive tackle Zuri Henry, according to a tweet from UFL insider James Larsen.

Zuri Henry is a 6’6″, 310-pound offensive tackle from Dallas, Texas. Henry brings a prototypical body type to the UFL after spending the 2024 NFL season with the New England Patriots after the Patriots signed him as an undrafted free agent. Coming into the UFL, Henry has legitimate NFL size but needs to get some time to develop and work with the San Antonio Brahmas, and the coaching staff of head coach Wade Phillips gives Henry a spectacular opportunity to prove that he has what it takes to be successful as an offensive tackle at the professional level.

Before being signed by the Patriots, Henry played six college football seasons at UTEP from 2018 until 2023. During his time with the Miners, Henry played in 53 games and started in 37 of those games. Henry’s college football experience and limited NFL experience should give the young offensive tackle a good opportunity to earn a roster spot with the Brahmas during training camp in 2025.
