# UFL Offseason Update: Six players earn workouts going into second week of offseason

After a record breaking first week of the UFL offseason, several players have begun working out for NFL teams in the 2nd week of the offseason. On Monday six UFL players worked out for teams hoping to join the 23 other players who have earned contracts. Last year the UFL saw over 60 players earn NFL contracts, with 75 earning contracts in 2024. UFL players became eligible to sign with NFL teams once the 2026 championship game was complete.

So far **49**UFL players have earned **57** workouts since the completion of the regular season.

With the UFL seeing **23** players signed to an NFL roster so far. The UFL saw its 23rd signing last season on July 29th.

The Defenders saw a plethora of workouts on Monday June 22nd with five players earning opportunities. RB Deon Jackson, LB Micah Bakersville, and LB Curtis Jacobs all worked for the Dallas Cowboys on Monday, with WR Cornell Powell, and LB Brandon Smith working out for the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears respectively.

Jackson, Bakersville, and Powell are all second-year players for the Defenders with Powell and Jackson earning contracts during the 2025 signing cycle. Smith and Jacobs are both first year linebackers with the Defenders, both of which played football at Penn State together.
