The Panthers hosted the Roughnecks in a UFL game that saw the home team emerge victorious with a 34-20 win. The Panthers’ offense, led by quarterback E.J. Perry, proved to be too much for the Roughnecks’ defense to handle. With this result, the Panthers improve their record to 2-1, while the Roughnecks remain winless at 0-3 in the UFL standings.

The Panthers started the season with three straight home games and now wont return home till May 5th against the Arlington Renegades. The Roughnecks are home against those Arlington Renegades next week.

Panthers’ Offensive Prowess

The Panthers’ offense was firing on all cylinders, with E.J. Perry leading the charge. Perry completed 16 of 19 passes for 208 yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for 60 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries. The Panthers’ running game was also effective, with Matthew Colburn II scoring a touchdown and gaining 28 yards on nine attempts.

The receiving corps was led by:

  • Marcus Simms: 4 receptions, 84 yards, 1 TD
  • Trey Quinn: 5 receptions, 48 yards

Roughnecks’ Struggle Continues

The Roughnecks’ offense showed some promise but ultimately fell short. Quarterback Reid Sinnett completed 19 of 28 passes for 197 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He also added 19 rushing yards and a touchdown on five carries.
