**Defending champs DC Defenders host struggling Louisville Kings in a potential blowout at Audi Field.**

## This Week's UFL Schedule

### [Louisville Kings](https://uflnewshub.com/team/louisville-kings) at [DC Defenders](https://uflnewshub.com/team/dc-defenders)

- When | Saturday, May 9 at 1:30 PM ET
- Where | Audi Field, Washington D.C.
- TV | FOX
- Line | DC Defenders -10 | O/U 48

The Kings are reeling after getting torched 16-3 by St. Louis in the Derby Classic, dropping to 2-4 and looking lost on offense. Meanwhile, DC just picked apart Dallas 24-6 to improve to 5-1 and cement their status as the league's hottest team. This mismatch has all the makings of a beatdown as the defending champions look to stay atop the UFL standings.

**Players to Watch:**

- **[Jordan Ta'amu](https://uflnewshub.com/player/jordan-taamu-2033)** (Defenders, QB) — Just made spring football history by eclipsing 10,000 career passing yards and torched Dallas for 227 yards last week
- **[Deon Jackson](https://uflnewshub.com/player/deon-jackson-33148)** (Defenders, RB) — Fifth in the UFL with 284 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns, giving DC a balanced attack
- **[Jason Bean](https://uflnewshub.com/player/jason-bean-34261)** (Kings, QB) — Struggling with just 819 yards and 4 TDs through six games, needs a breakout performance to keep Louisville competitive

**Pick:** DC Defenders 31-10. Ta'amu and this Defenders offense are clicking at the perfect time while Louisville's offense can't get anything going.

### [Dallas Renegades](https://uflnewshub.com/team/dallas-renegades) at [Birmingham Stallions](https://uflnewshub.com/team/birmingham-stallions)

- When | Saturday, May 9 at 8:00 PM ET
- Where | Protective Stadium, Birmingham
- TV | ESPN
- Line | Dallas Renegades -2 | O/U 46

Both teams sit at 3-3 and 2-4 respectively, desperately needing wins to keep playoff hopes alive. Dallas is riding a three-game skid but Austin Reed keeps saying they control their destiny with a 4-0 finish. Birmingham just upset Orlando 20-17 to jump back into the [playoff picture](https://uflnewshub.com/ufl/birmingham-stallions-defeat-orlando-20-17-move-ufl-playoff-picture) after looking dead in the water. This is a must-win for both squads with the season hanging in the balance.

**Players to Watch:**

- **Austin Reed** (Renegades, QB) — Leading the UFL with 1,360 passing yards and 13 TDs despite the recent struggles
- **Tyler Vaughns** (Renegades, WR) — Reed's top target with 34 catches for 438 yards and 5 scores
- **Jaydon Mickens** (Stallions, WR) — Birmingham's most reliable weapon with 32 catches for 404 yards

**Pick:** Dallas Renegades 23-17. Reed has too much talent to keep struggling, and Birmingham's upset win might be fool's gold.
