With training camp beginning several more UFL players are beginning to have their names called by NFL franchises for the 2025 training camp. As of Friday Afternoon, the UFL has seen 17 players earn NFL contracts as the league hopes to surpass the 75 players who earned NFL opportunities in 2024. So far 39 players have worked out NFL during this signing cycle.

San Antonio Brahmas

Tight End Steven Stilianos worked out for the Bills on Monday July 21st. Stilianos spent 2024 with the Titans and joined the Brahmas after week 1. The Brahmas also saw reserve Tight End Thomas Gordon work out for the Bears as well. 2nd-year Defensive Lineman Jacob Sykes also worked out for the Philadelphia Eagles as well and would be signed by the team the next day.

Arlington Renegades

The Renegades saw Linebacker Caleb Johnson earn his first workout this signing cycle. Johnson was a reserve Linebacker for Arlington, totaling 26 tackles for the Renegades this past season, in his 1st season with the team. Kalen DeLoach a Renegades Draft Pick who joined the team in April, also worked out with Green Bay as well. Ricky Lee also received his 2nd and 3rd workout of this circuit this time with the Jets and Falcons.

Houston Roughnecks

After a lull Long Snapper Marco Ortiz was one of Three specialists to work out for the Cardinals. Ortiz is in his first year with the team after playing in college at Nebraska and Florida. The Roughnecks have matched their 2024 total of signings with Samuel Jackson signing with the New York Jets. Jackson spent his first season in 2025 with the Roughnecks starting 9 games at Tackle and Guard

Memphis Showboats

Jaylon Allen received his 3rd NFL workout in the NFL cycle. Allen worked out for the Panthers on Monday July 21st, after working out for the Patriots in June and the Cardinals last week.

Michigan Panthers

The Panthers saw newly re-signed Long Snapper Peter Bowden work out for the Cardinals on Monday. Bowden signed with Michigan after an injury to Jordan Ober, and resigned his LOI for the 2026 season. Bowden spent time with the Packers and Jaguars in 2024. Keni-H Lovely received his 2nd and 3rd workout this cycle, working out for the Cardinals on Wednesday, and the Titans on Thursday. Toa Taua and Kedrick Whitehead received workouts on Friday with the Browns, and Patriots respectively.

St. Louis Battlehawks

Two-time, All-UFL Running Back Jacob Saylors received his first NFL workout this cycle. Saylors has been one of the UFL’s more consistent and dominate backs adding versatility as both a receiver and on the ground. Saylors, earned Two NFL contracts last year with the Giants and Browns however, was released during final cuts.

Workouts: Kyler Baugh (6/9 NE), Rodrigo Blankenship (6/9 NYJ), Nick Whiteside (CAR 7/9) Mike Panasiuk (CIN 7/20), Jacob Saylors (TEN 7/23)

Signing: None.

D.C. Defenders

The premiere franchise for Wide Receivers to NFL pipeline, the D.C. Defenders saw Braylon Sanders and Seth Williams workout for the Cardinals and Chiefs respectively. The Defenders have seen Six Receivers earn NFL contracts since 2023, with that number expected to increase. Williams would also work out for the Raiders, and sign with Vegas continuing the D.C. Defenders pipeline of Wide Receivers earning an NFL opportunity. Sanders also received Two more workouts this week, this time with the Washington Commanders and Green Bay Packers. The Defenders also saw Three more players earn workouts on Thursday and Friday with Gunnar Britton, Deon Jackson, and Cornell Powell receiving NFL workouts. Britton worked out for the Tampa Buccaneers on Thursday, with Jackson, and Powell working out for the Browns.

Birmingham Stallions

Amari Rodgers was one of many UFL players to work out for the Chiefs on Monday, as training camp begins. Rodgers is a second-year player with the Stallions looking to earn his first NFL opportunity since joining the UFL. Longer Snapper and 4-year Stallion Ryan Langan worked out for the Cardinals as well, his first workout since 2023. Langan is a x3 Champion, who earned All-USFL honors in 2023. The Stallions also saw Ronnie Perkins work out for the Browns, along with Cade Johnson working out for the Chargers who are dealing with the recent retirement of Mike Williams.

UFL Notes:

Interim Head Coach Payton Pardee is currently in Tampa Bay under an internship with the Buccaneers. Former Birmingham Stallion Khalil Davis announced his retirement after 5 professional seasons. Davis extended his NFL career by two seasons after his 2023 season in the USFL, earning 2.6 million dollars, in addition to appearing in 27 NFL regular season games. Former San Diego Fleet member (AAF) Daniel Brunskill returned to the NFL signing with the Miami Dolphins. Brunskill has played in 9 professional seasons appearing in 99 games with 62 starts in his NFL career. He’s earned over 10M dollars per spotrac.

    Bryce Perkins should be on Tennessee. I don’t know what the holdup is. The sooner he gets snaps and the playbook, the sooner he will gain their trust. Personally, I would prefer he and the rest of the Panthers in Michigan, but he really has an opportunity to help the Titans.
