Which current NFL star and former spring football talent accounted for every point his team scored this weekend?

If you guessed the Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey you would be correct.

Brandon Aubrey -Dallas Cowboys Kicker

Despite the Cowboys’ 47-9 shellacking at the hands of the Detroit Lions on Sunday, Aubrey was perfect, accounting for all nine Dallas points with 3 out of 3 field goals. Aubrey nailed two field goals from 34 yards and 47 yards before splitting the uprights with another 50-yard kick. Surpassing a record set by Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker, Aubrey has extended his streak by converting 17 out of 17 field goals from more than 50 yards this season.

KaVontae Turpin -Dallas Cowboys Wide Receiver

Aubrey’s Dallas teammate, KaVontae Turpin tried to help his team offensively on Sunday. Turpin caught 4 out of 4 targets for 24 yards and rushed once for another six yards in their losing effort against the Lions. Dallas’ record now stands at 3-3 and they have a much-needed bye this week to allow the team to regroup and focus on regaining their winning record.

Jake Bates-Detroit Lions Kicker

Jake Bates and the Detroit Lions had a sensational outing on Sunday. Bates was perfect, kicking four out of four field goals. In addition to providing five out of five extra points, Bates had a 40-yard field goal, a 48-yard field goal, and two from 33 yards.

However, the Lions ‘ 47-9 victory over the Cowboys came with a steep price when they lost their standout defensive edge Aidan Hutchinson for the season with a broken tibia. Hutchinson’s talent and contribution to the team’s success cannot be replaced so the Lions will have to continue to find ways to win without him.

Jalen Redmond -Minnesota Vikings DE

The Vikings were on a bye this week.

BREAKING NEWS UPDATE: The Minnesota Vikings released former Arlington Renegades defensive end Jalen Redmond. One of the best pass rushers in the UFL, Redmond had a promising NFL debut with one tackle, one quarterback hit, and one sack. However, after appearing in only two games, the Vikings parted ways with Redmond. The Renegades still hold player rights to Redmond and he will likely be resigned for the 2025 season.

Dondrea Tillman -Denver Broncos Offensive Lineman

After a thrilling NFL debut against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers two weeks ago, Denver Broncos offensive lineman Dondrea Tillman had another quiet week. Tillman assisted on one tackle in the Broncos 23-16 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.

Other UFL to NFL Player Updates

In other news around the NFL, New York Jets wide receiver Brandon Smith was released from the practice squad earlier this week with an injury designation and settlement. No further news is available as to the type of injury suffered by Smith.

Smith’s Jets’ teammates Adrian Martinez and Kohl Laveo remain on the Jets practice squad. But take heart Jets fans, if Aaron Rodgers continues to play as poorly as he has thus far, even with Davante Adams on the team, perhaps it won’t be long before we see Martinez elevated to the team roster.
