After a slight decline from the UFL 2025 season’s opening game, viewership increased for the third showing of Friday Night UFL football on FOX from a week ago.

The Birmingham Stallions’ comeback victory in the final seconds against the Arlington Renegades averaged 682,000 viewers. Up a modest three percent from last week. However, due to a Nielsen glitch, the telecast’s peak was unavailable as of press time.

Last Friday’s 4/4 UFL game between the Birmingham Stallions and Michigan Panthers, a rematch from last year’s USFL Championship game, averaged 659,000 viewers. The debut telecast of the UFL’s weekly games on Friday nights between the St. Louis Battlehawks and Houston Roughnecks averaged 690,000 viewers.

The 4/11 UFL game was the lone showing on FOX in Week 3. In Week 4, FOX will air three of the UFL’s games on consecutive days with a Michigan Panthers-Memphis Showboats showdown this coming Friday at 8 pm Eastern- a Saturday 7 pm ET telecast of the Birmingham Stallions at the Houston Roughnecks-followed up on Sunday with the San Antonio Brahmas at the undefeated DC Defenders at 5 pm eastern.

TV ratings for this past weekend’s remaining UFL games will be released on Tuesday. Week 2’s UFL ratings average was 602,500 viewers, up from last week’s 559k. An increase in broadcast network UFL games in Week 3 (one on FOX, ABC doubleheader) versus only two the week prior should help this past weekend’s overall viewership average.

Disappointing but consistent. They went against major CBB prior weeks and nothing much this week and ratings are basically the same. Either FOX is doing a poor job promoting the UFL FN games or Friday night isn’t doing what many (including myself) were hoping.

Be interesting to see the peak numbers and when peaked for this game. Also the rest of the weekend on ABC/ESPN.
Keep doing what you do Mike.

One other thing of note is the 8-11pm full three hours appears to be higher than just the game 8:10-11pm in this case.
Looking at Programming Insider that breaks down ratings by Pre-game and Game the full average is 699k, not a big difference but 993k started the broadcast and 682k watched the game – about 2/3 retained from peak beginning. Not as good as earlier weeks but in line with ABC week2.

The full 8-11pm time slot was higher in the first 2 weeks too, over “just the game” itself #s.
