The 7th week of the UFL season saw some high flying passing attacks with Quarterbacks getting comfortable in their systems, in addition to taking advantage of maybe some defensive fatigue. Fans of the UFL saw some familiar faces return to form, while a fan favorite returned to the field. After doing my original rankings before the season, and then redoing the list via YouTube, it’s time to continue to analyze and adjust our rankings on a weekly basis. 11 of the 24 UFL Quarterbacks playing this weekend with 10, taking significant passing attempts. This week we at UFL News Hub rank our UFL Quarterbacks, after the league’s Seventh week of play.
Honorable Mention:
Congrats to Holton Ahlers grabbing some positive yards on the 2nd carry of the season for Ahlers. Utilizing their “Elephant” package Ahlers came in for several plays even throwing a pass that led to a penalty. With the Renegades still in playoff contention it is possible we could see more of Ahlers as the season continues.
10. Mike DiLiello D.C. Defenders Week Six Ranking N/A
Stats: 1/1 11 yds 2 Car 3 yds
DiLiello got his first taste of extended playing time this week, and for all intended purposes looked pretty good. DiLiello came in for relief for D.C. due to what looked like a communication issue with Ta’amu. The 2nd year QB was able to complete his first pass of his career, in addition to adding a couple yards on the ground before Ta’amu took over. Definitely a great confidence builder for the young back up with limited experience.
9. Dresser Winn Memphis Showboats Week Six Ranking #5
21/35 196 Yds 1 TD 0 Int 3 Car 8 Yds
Winn’s ranking drop says a bit about the high level of QB play this week. It’s clear that Dresser is the QB1 for the Showboats and could be a huge asset for them in 2026. While it’s clear the upside for Winn is extremely high it seems that the Showboats are a couple pieces away to really competing for a playoff spot moving forward.
8. Max Duggan St. Louis Battlehawks Week Six Ranking #8
Stats: 15/23 158 Yds 1 TD 1 Int 10 Car 57 Yds 1 TD
While I’d love to push Duggan higher on these rankings I’m not really sure I can. Too many missed opportunities especially when the Battlehawks had an opportunity to expand their lead. While Duggan’s legs continue to be his greatest asset, it’s clear he needs to continue working on his passing ability if the Battlehawks look to make a push into the UFL Championship.
7. J’Mar Smith Birmingham Stallions Week Six Ranking N/A
Stats: 3/5 63 Yds 0 TD 0 Int 4 Car 9 Yds 1 TD
Earlier this year I did not think that I’d be writing about 5 Stallions QB’s taking meaningful snaps in the 2025 UFL season. Reminiscence of the 2022 season J’Mar Smith came off the bench and led the Stallions to a come from behind victory. The seasoned veteran came in and delivered just as he has multiple times for Coach Holtz and could get the nod this coming week.
6. Case Cookus Birmingham Stallions Week Six Ranking #2
Stats: 17/34 199 1 TD 1 Int 4 Car 36 Yds
I don’t think Cookus can get a break. The Stallions Offensive Line continues to allow all his Quarterbacks to get hit consistently leading to another injury. No one can doubt Cookus’ toughness but it does seem like he’s pressing too hard at times.
5. Jalan McClendon Houston Roughnecks Week Six Ranking #4
Stats: 15/23 167 Yds 1 TD 0 Int 4 Car 8 Yds
I feel as if McClendon hasn’t really gotten an opportunity to shine since his appearance several weeks ago. While McClendon has been “good”, it appears that his opportunities were limited this week. While Zaquandre White took over the show this week for Houston, McClendon still provides the stabilizing force for the Roughnecks and gives the Houston franchise hope for the future.
4. Kevin Hogan San Antonio Brahmas Week Six Ranking #3
Stats: 20/31 230 Yds 2 TD 0 Int 5 Car 32 Yds
Hogan put together another solid performance that was blemished by his own version of a “butt-fumble”. The former 2016 Draft Pick continues to provide a higher level of QB play, which arguably hasn’t been seen since Jack Coan. While the Brahmas in the future do need to find a younger option, there is no question Hogan continues to provide competent play putting his teammates in a position to succeed and reach the NFL.
3. Bryce Perkins Michigan Panthers Week Six Ranking #1
Stats: 15/28 231 Yds 1 TD 0 Int 8 Car 60 Yds 1 TD
It wasn’t the best game day performance but what makes Perkins great is the ability to eliminate negative plays. Perkins was able to keep the Renegades front Seven on their toes, constantly moving in the pocket enroute to the Panthers 5th win of the season.
2. Luis Perez Arlington Renegades Week Six Ranking #9
Stats: 25/34 314 Yds 2 TD 0 Int 1 Car 2 Yds
It’s been an up and down season for Perez who put together one of the best games of his career. Despite his 4th TD pass of the year being called back due to a super challenge, injuries on the Offensive Line, and a stagnant rushing attack, Perez still did everything he could to keep the Renegades competitive, but it does seem that injuries are mounting up, with the final three weeks of their playoff push upon them.

1. Jordan Ta’amu D.C. Defenders Week Six Ranking #6
Stats: 19/24 278 Yds 3 TD 0 Int 5 Car 8 Yds
This may be Ta’amu’s best game as a pro. Efficient, effective, and deadly, Ta’amu gave the Defenders the game they needed especially in a tight XFL conference. Ta’amu has been criticized for his lack of completion % but managed to hit 79.2% of his passes this weekend enroute to a come from behind victory in San Antonio.

Just wondering out loud where the Battlehawks would be if they wouldn’t have released AJ McCarron. I realize they’re in pretty good shape but they’re relying on a rooking getting them past Birmingham, San Antonio and DC in the next 3 weeks to insure a playoff spot on their way to the Championship Game.
Releasing McCarron without a replacement wasn’t good coaching, that’s for sure. Looking at the experience of the #1 and #2 ranked quarterbacks this week makes me wonder if AJ wouldn’t have been right up there with them.

I totally feel AJ would rule the roost. Imagine Jacob Saylors where the league could not key on him. As far as the defense goes. It is so much better with Lukas Denis back and Mike Rose has been on the field. I still feel a good line can push the Battlehawks line around, but once that team commits to the run the Battlehawks can call a run blitz and put them in a bad position so the defense can rush. The Stallions game should be a good one. The Stallions line is down about 4 players, but they still have quality depth and like the Panthers their defensive backfield is quite injured. So I think this game comes down to the linebackers keeping Duggan in the pocket, then how the Battlehawks O-Line matches the Stallions d-line and how the officials call it.
