Week 9 allowed fans to start possibly looking at the future of this league while also seeing some player put on the final touches of the 2025 season. With the playoffs secured multiple teams began allowing their backups to earn a bit of playing time in an effort to “see what they have” and prevent injury. After doing my original rankings before the season, and then redoing the list via YouTube, it’s time to continue to analyze and adjust our rankings on a weekly basis. 13 of the 24 UFL Quarterbacks playing this weekend with 12, taking significant passing attempts. This week we at UFL News Hub rank our UFL Quarterbacks, after the league’s Ninth week of play.
Honorable Mention:
Our usual suspects for our Honorable Mention go to the wayside a bit as both DiLiello and Ahlers both found a home on the QB Rankings. However, a new QB made his debut in the 2025 season and that was Spencer Sanders of the D.C. Defenders. Sanders, willing to get on the field, ended up taking reps at WR, recording a catch for 14 yards in his first professional game.
12. Holton Ahlers Arlington Renegades Week Eight Ranking #9
No honorable mention for Ahlers as the Modern Era “Hefty Lefty” finally connected with Seth Green for his first passing TD. Ahlers has been great about his role in Arlington, often continuing his trend of being pro football’s most efficient QB. For the Renegades bringing back Ahlers for 2026 would be a positive direction for the league and their team.
11. Kellen Mond San Antonio Brahmas Week Eight Ranking #N/A
Stats: 14/26 103 Yds 0 TD 0 Int 4 Car 20 Yds
Anemic. I guess that’d be the best way to describe this last game for Mond. The San Antonio Quarterback started off hot driving the ball downfield, that was hurt by fumbles at the skill position. The 2nd half left much to be desired as the Brahmas simply couldn’t compete against the Battlehawks defense while keeping pace with a Brandon Silvers led Battlehawks offense.
10. EJ Perry Memphis Showboats Week Eight Ranking N/A
Stats: 5/11 89 Yds 0 TD 0 INT 1 Car 2 Yds
Perry started off pretty hot, finding Kwamie Lassiter for 15 Yds, and Eli Stove for 49 Yds on off schedule plays. Outside of that, Perry didn’t do much else leading to benching. The Showboats hoped to catch lighting in a bottle for the second week in a row with a rotating QB system, however Perry failed to do so and with a subpar 2025 his Pro Football window may be closing.
9. Dresser Winn Memphis Showboats Week Eight Ranking N/A
Stats: 7/16 83 Yds 0 TD 1 INT 2 Car 2 Yds
Winn came off the bench hoping to provide a spark for the Showboats who for about 3 quarters were pretty competitive with the Arlington Renegades. Winn struggled with the Renegades pass rush, doing his best to go off-script. Winn will get the final nod to start this week as he has proven to be the Showboats most effective QB this year. Hopefully with a full game plan, and coming out of the gate as the starter, Winn should strengthen his hold as going into 2026 as the Showboats’ “Franchise QB”.
8. Brandon Silvers St. Louis Battlehawks Week Eight Ranking #N/A
Stats: 7/10 100 Yds 1 TD 0 Int 4 Car -4 Yds
The reliable Silvers came in for his first action since 2023 and provided a new dimension for the Battlehawks offense. In a scheme that is built more for Silvers than Duggan, the 2023 Roughneck showed he was more than capable of leading the Battlehawks playing an extremely efficient down field attack that could have a couple more yards if Jahcour Pearson reeled in two passes.

7. Max Duggan St. Louis Battlehawks Week Eight Ranking #6
Stats: 12/17 133 Yds 1 TD 0 Int 1 Car 6 Yds
This was Duggan’s best game as a passer arguably as a professional. While there are plenty of valid critiques to his ability to manage the game through the air, Duggan was able to fine tune the Battlehawks passing attack through Two quarters before giving way to Brandon Silvers.
6. Mike DiLiello D.C. Defenders Week Eight Ranking #N/A
Stats: 17/29 206 Yds 1 TD 0 Int 3 Car 9 Yds
It was nice to DiLiello earn extended reps and make the most of his opportunity this week. DiLiello started off hot going 3/3 despite getting his “sea legs” under him in his first extended look. While there is plenty to critique, DiLiello did a great job installing some confidence in his team if Ta’amu missed some time.
5. Jordan Ta’amu D.C. Defenders Week Eight Ranking #1
Stats: 14/22 165 Yds 1 TD 0 Int 2 Car 7 Yds
Ta’amu, like Duggan, only got a half to stay in rhythm and stay fresh against the Roughnecks. Ta’amu put together Two scoring drives with one drive being hampered by a Javon Antonio fumble. With the Playoffs set look for Ta’amu to garner less reps next week so he can be healthy for postseason play.
4. Danny Etling Michigan Panthers Week Eight Ranking #3
Stats: 23/39 236 Yds 2 TD 0 Int 3 Car 15 Yds
It looks like Etling is the “guy” for the final stretch of the season and put together another strong week of play. The LSU alum was a bit more aggressive this week tossing a pair of Touchdowns while having to deal with the Stallions pass rush. The Panthers hurt themselves a bit with some clock management issues but Etling still provided enough to me for him to cement himself as a viable Quarterback in the UFL.
3. Jalan McClendon Houston Roughnecks Week Eight Ranking #5
Stats: 21/30 232 Yds 2 TD 0 Int 9 Car 23 Yds
While it’s been effective it seems that there is no leadership or true direction in Houston (surprise), McClendon seems to be on his own program and having fun which makes me question his development. My challenge to McClendon may have less to do with him and more with the play calling and game IQ of Johnson/Offensive Coordinator Eric Price. Regardless McClendon has been leaning towards a Top 4 or 5 QB this year with the potential to be a Top QB if guided by the right staff.
2.J’Mar Smith Birmingham Stallions Week Eight Ranking #4
Stats: 22/31 307 Yds 2 TD 0 Int 7 Car 30 Yds
A week after his debut start against the St. Louis Battlehawks, Smith followed up with a 300-Yd performance against the Michigan Panthers. Smith took advantage of an injured Frank Ginda, and Adonis Alexander utilizing his legs to get away from Breeland Speaks along with the Panthers pass rush. While it did feel like at times Smith was playing a bit of backyard ball the Stallions veteran got it done providing a consistent presence at the QB position.
1. Luis Perez Arlington Renegades Week Eight Ranking #2
Stats: 20/30 206 Yds 2 TD 0 Int 3 Car -3 Yds
It was almost too easy for Perez this week. After a slow start Perez picked up the slack utilizing Tyler Vaughns and Deontay Burnett, to rack up another strong performance. Perez has totaled 870 Passing Yards and 6 TDs over the past 3 games showcasing his strongest stretch of the season.

How isn’t J’Mar Smith #1 quarterback this week??? He threw for 300 yards and was the leading rusher on his team with the USFL Conference Title on the line. Danny Etling should be top 3 even after a loss he played great and was throwing the football into pretty tight windows. Perez should be #5 he did his damage against the Showboats – McClendon should be #2 or #3 he had a good showing against a playoff team and won in an upset. Put Duggan as your #4, who I believe should have played the whole game. Silvers throwing the ball looked much smoother than Duggan and I think Coach Becht might have started a QB controversy.
