The United Football League today announced the official opening of its training camps will take place on Monday, March 3, when more than 600 coaches and players report to the UFL HQ in Arlington, Texas, to prepare for the upcoming 2025 season.

All eight teams will conduct training camps in the DFW Metroplex, with two teams practicing at each of the four locations. The UFL HQ in Arlington will serve as the main hub for all football operations throughout the 2025 season.

The 2025 season will kick off on Friday, March 28, at 8 p.m. ET when FOX Sports debuts FOX UFL Friday – a new night dedicated to UFL action taking place each Friday during the 10-week regular season – with a matchup featuring the St. Louis Battlehawks against the Houston Roughnecks. The league’s second season will conclude on Saturday, June 14, when ABC presents the 2025 UFL Championship Game.

As we get close to Training camp some people on my wish list have now been signed by the UFL. Josh Pederson, Mason Brooks, Alec Lindstrom, Juwan Green and Chris Odom have all signed contracts. There have been a bunch more signings including Kelvin Joseph. I have written a number of times, how it’s interesting that some players don’t recognize when the NFL has them peaking. Kelvin Joseph is one of the first players that have recognized that the NFL is not really respecting what he has on tape in the NFL or what he is showing in camp, so he is taking this opportunity while he is still young enough at 25 to go to the UFL to better his game instead of sitting on a NFL practice squad. He is betting on himself in much the way Max Duggan has.
As we come up on camp hoping to still see Sal Cannella, Case Cookus, Darius Victor, Darrius Sheppard, Vinny Papale, KD Cannon, Bailey Gaither, Kaden Smith, Matt Kaskey, Wyatt Ray, Jaylen Twyman, Ethan Westbrooks, Nathan Gerry, De’Juan Hines and Vontae Diggs. It seems there is a spot for Cannella. Not so sure on the rest, but most of the players would shine the league in a positive light. I am sure Javelin Guidry and Tae Hayes look at themselves as NFL players, but if that is so, they have been a good deal out of practice and may want to hone their skills.
