We are now at mid-way point of the 2025 season as UFL play especially at Quarterback is beginning to heat up. Four teams started new Quarterbacks this week, with the league starting 16 Quarterbacks so far this season. Teams have now had plenty of data, analyze, adjust, and adapt to opposing defenses, while setting into their offensive schemes. After doing my original rankings before the season, and then redoing the list via YouTube, it’s time to continue to analyze and adjust our rankings on a weekly basis. 12 of the 24 UFL Quarterbacks playing this weekend with 10, taking significant passing attempts. This week we at UFL News Hub rank our UFL Quarterbacks, after the league’s Fifth week of play.
Honorable Mention:
Mike DiLiello and Holton Ahlers both had cameos in week 5. Ahlers did a good job once again being on the beginning of a De’Veon Smith rushing touchdown, and DiLiello relieved Ta’amu for his first stint outside of the Red Zone.
Week 6 Rankings:
10.Kellen Mond San Antonio Brahmas Week Four Ranking #3
Stats: 4/9 35 Yds 0 TD 1 INT 0 Car 0 Yds
Mond has made some improvement this past several weeks however, took a major step back this week. Mond look frazzled, and jittery in the pocket not getting help from his receivers with some less than timely drops.

9. Jarrett Guarantano San Antonio Brahmas Week Four Ranking N/A
Stats: 6/15 29 Yds 0 TD 1 INT 4 Car 24 Yds
Echo Mond with the same about Guarantano. After a QB change JG18 had a chance to improve from his 2024 showing with the Houston Roughnecks. The results not much better than, outside of his rushing ability. I’m not high on JG18 for the 2025 season, and believe one bad game doesn’t erase all the good Mond has done.
8. Danny Etling Michigan Panthers Week Four Ranking N/A
Stats: 4/9 59 Yds 0 TD 1 INT 0 Car 0 Yds
It was a tale of two series for Etling. Despite a nice bit of athleticism on a throw to Samson Nacua Etling came back with a bad overthrow that was intercepted changing the momentum of the game. Etling did come back in relief of Bryce Perkins however, in a limited showing proved to have hurt Michigan more than he helped.
7.Case Cookus Birmingham Stallions Week Four Ranking #8
Stats: 15/33 145 Yds 2 TD 1 INT 6 Car 83 Yds
Despite not getting the win fans of the UFL had a lot of fun watching Cookus back on the field. Cookus battled for Birmingham willing the team back into overtime despite falling short. Cookus was the Stallions leading rusher and managed to have no problem taking shots down field. While Cookus’ play was admirable and gritty, the Stallions Offensive Line seems to be a bigger problem than their QB play.
6. Jalan McClendon Houston Roughnecks Week Four Ranking #4
Stats: 22/32 171 Yds 0 TD 1 INT 7 Car 18 Yds
I would argue that McClendon’s play has enabled CJ Johnson to stick around as the Roughnecks Head Coach. While McClendon’s play wasn’t as dynamic or electrifying as it was in week 4, he played within the system made plays with his legs and allowed his Defense to help him out. McClendon now is 1-0 as a starter and will be set to take on the Showboats in week 6.
5.Luis Perez Arlington Renegades Week Four Ranking #6
Stats: 23/33 268 1 TD 1 INT 1 Car 10 Yds
It felt like Perez and the Renegades took it easy in the second half of their matchup vs the Defenders. Whether that was an adjustment by Defensive Coordinator Blake Williams, or stale play calling Perez only added about 60 passing yards in the final two quarters of play. I’m not out on Perez at all but it does seem their needs to be a bit more vertical passing game to play into his skillset. A Kallen Ballage fumble and a late timeout did not seem to help either.
4. Dresser Winn Memphis Showboats Week Four Ranking N/A
Stats: 17/29 235 Yds 1 TD 0 INT 4 Car 11 Yds
In his first professional start Winn delivered. The UT-Martin alum fought hard showing no fear taking shots down field and moving around the pocket to buy time. Winn wasn’t extremely accurate in the beginning of the game but as you can tell the longer, he was in the game the more got comfortable. With Winn and Mazzone gelling under Jim Turner’s leadership, the Showboats are primed to make a bit of noise the back half of the season.
3.Jordan Ta’amu D.C. Defenders Week Three Ranking #2
Stats: 23/46 308 Yds 3 TD 1 INT 8 Car 37 Yds 1 TD
A Four Touchdown performance doesn’t erase a bad interception and multiple accuracy issues for Ta’amu. Another game of mis-reads and underthrown passes. Despite the bad, Ta’amu still remains a top QB in the UFL and in spring football in general. Him and the Defenders best Perez on this go around, but should make for an exciting matchup later in the year.
2. Max Duggan St. Louis Battlehawks Week Four Ranking #10
Stats: 9/12 124 Yds 1 TD 0 INT 10 Car 70 Yds 2 TDs
What a coming out party for Duggan. In his first start of the year, Duggan delivered in a must win game against a potential playoff team in the Michigan Panthers. Duggan looked way more comfortable this week with a full week of practice reps, and the ability to utilize his legs. With the return of Abdul Beecham, and Hakeem Butler along with Blake Jackson assisting in a Darrius Shepherd type of role, Duggan has the ability to be special in 2025.
1. Bryce Perkins Michigan Panthers Week Four Ranking #1
Stats: 21/25 235 Yds 2 TD 0 INT 4 Car 14 Yds
Despite the loss Perkins definitely balled out, continuing his pace as one of the best in the league. An MVP front runner, Perkins continued to “win” with their RPO’s and fell a yard short of delivering even more heroics for Michigan. Perkins’ greatest weakness isn’t his offense, but it may be the volume he plays with splitting reps with Danny Etling.

It took Perez 5 weeks to finally throw the ball more than 10 yards down field.

He did throw that 52 yard bomb for a TD against the PrincessHawks, but the UFL took it away.
