Playoff Teams

Under new investor Mike Repole, the UFL has undergone its biggest transformation yet. Divisions are gone — the top 4 teams by overall record advance to the playoffs beginning June 7, culminating in the UFL Championship Game on June 13. The regular season runs from March 27 through June 1, with 4 games per week across FOX, ESPN, ABC, and FS1.

All 8 Teams

New for 2026: Columbus Aviators, Louisville Kings, and Orlando Storm are expansion franchises.

Dallas Renegades (fmr. Arlington Renegades) and Houston Gamblers (fmr. Houston Roughnecks) have been rebranded.

Memphis Showboats, Michigan Panthers, and San Antonio Brahmas were folded to make room.

Key Rule Changes for 2026

4-Point Field Goals

Field goals from 60+ yards are worth 4 points, encouraging long-range attempts.

Tush Push Ban

The controversial quarterback sneak push play is banned in the UFL.

No Punts Inside the 50

Teams cannot punt when they are past the 50-yard line, forcing aggressive play-calling.

One-Foot Catch Rule

Only one foot needs to be in bounds for a completed catch, matching college football rules.

Two-Point Conversion Options

Teams choose from the 2, 5, or 10-yard line for 1, 2, or 3 points after touchdowns.

Overtime Shootout

Alternating plays from the 5-yard line. Best of 3 rounds determines the winner.
